“Brony” usually refers to a male fan of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic,
though the label and community extend to all groups including children
and females (though some prefer the term “pegasister”). Since
Friendship is Magic premiered in 2010, bronies have come together to
celebrate the show and participate in fandom through art, music,
writing, and of course, conventions!
The mascots of the Crystal Fair have special meaning related to the
history of St. Louis.
Toasted Ravioli represents the Italian heritage of St. Louis.
This tasty dish was invented in a restaurant currently called Mama’s On the Hill.
The Hill is an area of St. Louis that has all of the best Italian food that the Midwest can provide!
Buckweiser is our con’s cider making pony! He represents Budweiser, brewed by Anheuser-Bush.
St. Louis is home to the first Budweiser Brewery as well as the famous Budweiser Clydesdales.
Flying Spirit represents the Spirit of St. Louis, the plane that Charles Lindbergh flew on the first solo flight across the Atlantic Ocean.
Pun Salad is the official mascot of the infamous lunch panel.
