Well, I don't do Facebook. This would only solve the dangerous aspect of selling. The problem is with Ebay/Paypal/Etsy/Craigslist and many other online sales sites you have to deal with these new tax laws as they will be holding all users accountable for them in the US. The fines for not following the tax laws are huge so it isn't worth it to me to have problems by not collecting state sales tax. I have already discussed this with them and it doesn't matter whether you have a store or you are just selling things from your home. The government now says you have to collect sales tax on everything sold in your state. In the past I have had a lot of Texas buyers. So even if I used Facebook, I would have to collect sales tax through paypal. I can't manage all of this as I am federally disabled and they would consider me working if I could sell from home. How would they find out? My sales tax collections and the fact I would own a tax ID in addition to the declaration of income taxes on what I sell which is also required. Good grief its gotten hard for people to just sell a few things to make extra cash. I knew this was going to eventually happen thought. It was just a matter of time before they were going to crack down on this online selling without taxes taken out and declared on income taxes. To be perfectly honest, I can't sell really from home due to my disability. I can't physically do the packing that I would have to do to sell everything I need to rid myself of. I am not able to do all that posting either. I am not really able to do any of it. My husband is so busy, it is clear he isn't going to have the time to sell everything. So, he will sell my big ticket things and the rest will be donated I guess. I can't figure out what else to do. What would be nice is if we could unload our stuff at a store that specializes in resale of toys. There are a few, but they only take certain things and not everything. Sadly, most of them are geared towards boy toys. The funny thing is I have refocused my life so much in the last few months that this is not a difficult decision anymore. I have accepted it. In fact it is going to be so freeing really to let go of all of the extra stuff. Every week we go to our storage unit and clean out 4 boxes which is so hard for me physically, but R2 helps me. I have already sent 16 garbage bags of donations to the Goodwill and I have barely scratched the surface. Yikes ROFLOL
