I'm hoping someone has experience cleaning flocked ponies.

On MLP Preservation Project they suggest using a bit of bleach to clean flocked ponies (in a mixture). Does anyone have experience using this method? I would like to try it but I’m a little concerned with the bleach that it may miscolour my ponies hair.

Plus bleach makes me nervous doing laundry let alone cleaning ponies. Lol! Any help would be greatly appreciated. :D

I would not use bleach just to be safe. While some people have had positive results, others have had loss of flocking and I think some discoloration. I've heard carpet cleaner works well though :)

I have not tried bleach, but I have used Woolite carpet cleaner on them with no negative results. The flocking was cleaned with no discoloration and no loss of flocking.

I use carpet cleaner as well. Be sure to use a gentle cloth if you decide to scrub a little bit as severe rubbing can rub the flocking off.

Yes, I did read that as well. Looks like I will try carpet cleaner first.

Yikes! Loss of flicking and discolouration would be terrible. I will try carpet cleaner and hope this coffee will come off my white pony. *fingers crossed*

I use dish soap and a fingernail brush to gently wash and haven't lost flocking.
