I have a couple extra Poseys and one of them has white hair and white tulips. Wiki shows a Peruvian Posey with white hair and white tulips, but this girl has a Hong Kong stamp. Anyone know if there was a Hong Kong variant? I'm mostly just curious. I'll probably keep her, as my other Posey is bright pink hair and tulips. I kinda like the white.

I agree with twishy. I had a Hong kong posey with white hair and flowers. I was curious, so I opened her and the base of her tail was still pink.

There is a UK variant with purple flowers.... I love purple!

As far as I know, there is a white variant. Then UK has Posey with white hair/red flowers as pink hair/red flowers. And as @Tak pointed out, the purple flowers. I never knew I had so much Posey knowledge. :lolpony:

I only know about the purple flowers, because I'm simply mad about purple. Still haven't found one.

I've never seen her before. Wiki makes no mention of it, so she must be incredibly rare. I just found out of her existence yesterday after reading your comment. Did you know Posey has a baby with purple hair?

Yes, actually. I just did a lot of looking at and for purple ponies, I guess. :p

Actually, I did have a peek inside this lady and the inside of the tail is also white. It must just be fading, but there are no signs of pink on her. Coincidentally, I happened to see one just the other day with white hair and white tulips on Ebay.

I see white ones on there all the time. I have no idea if it's fading or not. Weird that the cutie mark always goes with the hair though? I guess if they were left out in the sun together or something.

There's no white variant. Posey's hair fades, and her light pink symbol paint can also fade. :)

The symbol paint thing can also happen to Peachy, Heart Throb, TAF Fifi . . . any pony with that light pink symbol paint, basically. It doesn't fade out as easily Posey's hair, but it can happen with enough sun exposure.

Hope that helps.

There IS a UK variant of Posey, she has light pink hair (as usual) and dark pink flowers. She is the NSS counterpart of So-Soft Posey; So-Soft Posey was given dark pink flowers to make them more visible under her flocking.

I've never heard of a UK purple flowered Posey. IMO it's probably a case of someone interpreting the dark pink symbol as purple.

Here's a picture of NSS UK variant Posey. (However, the UK also got "regular" Posey with light pink tulips.) Her hair has faded, it was originally light pink.

Here's what mylittlewiki has on the subject. U.S. had original then ss, UK had ss without the flocking.

Posey was re-released in some European countries including the UK around 1986-1987. This version is basically the same as the So Soft version released in the US, but without the flocking. She is very similar to the original Posey, but has magenta tulips as her symbol (presumably printed darker so as to show through the flocking of her US counterpart).

Very interesting.

Mylittlewiki.org is probably the best source out there unless you can get a hold of members who know more history.

There are many ooak prototypes floating around.
