MLP Fair?? But where???

Oh goodness. Well, lets hope people saved all year lol.

almost june, lets hope to hear something soon

this year it is running with hascon but still kind of separate

there was an update on the arena about some info but again nothing concrete

Cost of the Hall of Fame Dinner has been announced - $200/person. Also $200/person for a "sneak peek" of the G4 movie, Q&A session, and raffle. So for one adult planning to attend the entire weekend and all Pony-related events announced thus far, you're looking at $565. Add your travel cost, hotel, food, and spending money - you may as well go to Disney.

For anyone unable to go or feeling a bit down about this year, this might cheer you up:

As things are not turning out as many of us hoped for our annual gathering in 2017, we are looking ahead to next year. Rather than dwell on what we do not have, we are moving onward and upward!

We hope the pony community will join us in the summer of 2018 for a brand new event brought to you by much of the same team that has worked hard to organize the previous Fairs. We want to get back to the core of what the Fair is about: adult collectors gathering to celebrate their childhood. While My Little Pony will still be a primary focus, we would like to expand our horizons to include a collector's appreciation of many popular toy lines that were marketed toward girls of the 80's and 90's, such as Moon Dreamers, Fairy Tail Birds, Care Bears, and a long list of whimsical characters of the past. We plan to retain many popular aspects of the Fair including a large vendor area, collector interest panels, and special guests from the toy design & entertainment media industry of yesteryear.

Looking forward to seeing you all again in 2018

2018 is going to be. Amazing. ;)

yep absolutely crazy... plus the 1000 dollar table ticket. plus 1500 for a hotel, yeah never mind

Basically, 2017 Hascon's not a Pony Fair. It's a Hasbro Toy Convention and expo with pricing and participation expectations to match that kind of event. I'm slowly getting over the shock. It's not even a bad thing ( now that I am over my knee jerk reactions. Use your imaginations lol). For those who are interested (and can throw around that kind of money) it looks to be a lot of fun. i hope it is, and I hope anyone who goes has a blast. But....It just would have been super considerate of them to be up front about this from the get go with Summer. They know what our Fair has been like all these years, and you can't tell me they didn't already have that vision (bigger huger money-er toy expo-ier) in mind by the time they announced the event, even at the time when it was announced sans much information (that one useless web page taunting us for so long lol ).

Just BOO to Hasbro for all of that.

And now onward to more delightful events! 2018 or bust. I don't care if it's in Tuktoyaktuk, Key West, or Chile someplace (although I will always happily lobby for Colorado... ) We're going!!
