I think it's been mentioned that there are now two different variations, with and without forelock of the mane 6 ponies. I think the exception is Fluttershy because she never had a forelock to begin with, but she has had a color change with her hair. so no, I'm pretty sure it's not a mistake.

I always just stick a marker between their legs and leave them on display like that. marker is barely noticeable and that way it sits over time while it's cool instead of just a quick dunk in hot water.

definitely overboard. Someone noticed the popularity of Rapunzel and must have assumed Goldilocks would be the same. Goldilocks was A LOT easier to find than Punzie.. in fact I think most of the time she was FREE with pony points, while all the rest of the mail ins you had to pay for, plus S&H.
