Quick way to find the faded part out at least is to look inside her head. If its darker inside, she was faded. I had a very faded cotton candy I almost thought she was a albino cotton candy. Her symbol was white on white but once you opened her up it was much darker inside.

Like anybody does with their hair. Wash and re set it.. Though I don't know many people who hold their hair down by puting rubber bands around their neck. But it helps with ponies.
