I have spent way too much time trying to figure out how many ceramic coffee cups were offered in 1985. I have 5 different ones from then and am having issues finding information.

Also if anyone would like to give some advice on best way to sell a lot of ponies...I have almost all the US Ponies from year 2 and 3 and the friends from ...I also have a ton of accessories and pieces of play sets I’m sure others can use...Everything was played with, and I really don’t want to spend the time cleaning and beautifying them if it’s not worth it...
(They are not damaged or disgusting. A couple have spots need their hair restyled/unbraided)

Well you need start with some photos is the best way for us to help you for identification and pricing

Thank you

Nice mug collection. I always thought that set was lovely and would love some....if your looking to rehome ;) but I have no idea how many they made. I've only come across a few here and there which you have pictured.
As far as selling, well, you make your biggest bang for your buck I think by selling individually. If you can pair up the accessories with the ponies or set they went to that is good too. If you don't want to put that much effort in it, you can just list them all in one lot but I think you get more selling them individually. The sales section here is nice cause you can avoid fees, just make sure you take pictures of everything you look to sell. If you need help IDing and matching accessories, this is a great site :)

Those are much too precious!

Thank you all.
I believe I have most of what I have identified excluding the mugs. I still have a few totes of closet totes to go through.
I have most of “the originals” in 82-83.. year 2&3.. Around 20 adults, 6-8 babies and then 1-so soft and 4? Friends from another year. I have bits of the play sets for the same years.
I think I have more accessories to donate than I do to sell. Something from every play set, but nothing complete. How would I categorize things to not really sell as individuals but to get more than the bottom dollar?...In less than 2 years I will have two children in universities and I’ve always joked.
“ I’ll sell them to pay for their college.” So that’s what I’m going to do. Any advice on how to pair/group things quickly and fairly would be much appreciated.
I’m so lost. Like should I be taking the time to match the baby with the rattle and necklace it can with? Would I sell the rattles and the necklaces separately? Or would I take all the nursery items as a entire group? I wouldn’t want someone to have to buy all the stable accessories when they only need a door. But I don’t want to be selling each individual?
I did not realize there is so much involved getting rid of some old toys ...

Values within different years and sets can vary wildly, which is why it's much more helpful for us to see photos of what you actually have ;) For example, a Twinkle Eye pony called TicTacToe may be worth $6-8, but a pony from the same set, Mimic, can go for $120+. It's very hard to appraise by year or characteristic alone. ;)

I would just group them as best you can and take photos, no need to pair up the accessories unless it's something quite rare, and we'll let you know in that case. When I'm faced with a daunting task, I find it's best to just simply start and then see where you end up :)

I finally finished sorting through all of the toy totes. You are not going to believe the ponies that I have. I mean before we started going through toys my daughter commented how she was excited to see all my old ponies and wondered if selling them would be enough to pay for a class. I told her not to hold her breath...of what I remember we’d be lucky to get a text book. I know my 1st year ponies were with the nursery that I pitched,But I didn’t think I would be left with what I have. I have the most original collection you could imagine. My daughter and I were excited every time we found one more pony accessory. Or the 3 out of 4 in a set. I’m sure you are used to people posting about their collection. How it is a goldmine and their ponies are special.... not the case here. If it was mass produced. I have it. That’s right. Cotton candy, blossom, applejack. I even have 2 fire flys. Need 3 roller skates. I have them. Need 3 buggy wheels. I have them. Heck, you need 3 stable doors I have them too. I know I set my standards high with the collection I remember. But this is so much better. I can’t wait to upload some pictures.I don’t think there is one pony that’s worth more than $5. And that’s generous.Thank you for all your advice. As soon as this train passes. I’ll be home to share pictures.

Can't speak on the accessories, but you have a lot of very common ponies. The non-pony ones could fetch much more though! The flocked one (Paradise) and the baby Seapony might fare better as well.
For the common ponies, depending on condition I'd say $5-10 sounds good.
