Hello! I recently jumped in here and started posting, but just realized I never properly introduced myself. Sorry about that!

Here's my pony story, real quick: I was born in 1985, the perfect time for G1 ponies, and I was absolutely crazy about them. They were all I wanted for Christmas and birthday gifts, and all I bought with my allowance money. Whenever I was sick and miserable, my parents got me ponies to cheer me up. I eventually amassed a collection of around 200 of them. I took ponies with me everywhere, I drew pictures of them, and I even displayed my collection in the local fair and won some ribbons.

But eventually I grew out of playing with them and stowed them in boxes in my parents' attic, where they sat gathering dust for years. Then, while visiting my parents for Christmas last year, I decided to dig out my old ponies and see if I could clean them up and sell them. I figured I would spend a couple months doing this, maybe make $1,000 or so, and be done with it... But unexpectedly, I ended up getting really into it. I never imagined how much I would enjoy cleaning up my ponies, doing their hair, photographing them, researching them, and sending them off to new homes. I was having so much fun that I didn't want to stop, but I was running out of ponies (and besides, I still wanted to keep some for myself).

So now I've started buying big lots of dirty, tangled, stained ponies for cheap on eBay. (I've also tried hunting for them at thrift stores, but no luck there so far!) I'm going to fix them up and resell them. I'm not sure if I'll make much money, but I'm pretty sure I can at least avoid losing money, and I'll get to keep doing this! I haven't had so much fun in a long time. It's like I've found my childhood joy again. I guess I'm still pony crazy!

I need to improve this display, but here are a few of the ponies I'm keeping, at least for now! There are a few more I want to collect as well, so hopefully this will grow a bit. :) I really love the brightly colored tropical ponies, and I think the merry-go-round ponies are really cool!

Oh, yeah! I didn't know their names, but I've seen pictures of them. I love their designs! They must be hard to get though.

And yes, Baby Beachball is one of my favorites. It seems like she sells for a good bit, but I don't want to part with her!

Those two sets of babies are my favorites, even over purple ponies! The U.K. babies are pretty spendy and htf, so it'll probably never happen for me, but I can still enjoy looking. :ponylove:

Welcome to the MLPTP (although belated still happy your here :D )!

Your ponies are so pretty. Yes restoring ponies is rather addicting, I frequently buy “bait” girls to restore and resell (or keep in my collection forever lol). If you ever need help or tips for restoration please don’t hesitate to send me a message if you like. :)

Welcome to the herd
