I know that G1s are old, and sometimes they fade, but do you think this is a case of fading, or did they come from very different dye lots? It has been a while since I have seen such an extreme difference of the same pony...

And now... which should I keep?!

Hehehe... I am the little devil on your shoulder telling you to be bad!

I'm sifting through my Ponies now too. I need 50 mommies and 50 babies and comin' up short. Gonna have to get a breeding programme going.

No, keep it! Nothing wrong with an extra pony... Especially one that looks so cool :)

There were so many colour variations with G1 Collector ponies, different dye lots etc, also the Mail Order versions of the CF Ponies were slightly different. I agree, keep them both :D

If you keep only one, keep the one of the right. So strange and exotic! But I'd keep them both for the sake of completeness.

While all my own Blossoms look the same (like yours on the left), I have noticed a discrepancy in my Cotton Candies. One has a much darker pink body than the other, but the condition of the manes doesn't suggest the discrepancy is due to fading.

I also suggest keeping them both. That reminds me, I have a Cotton Candy who is similar, she's very light, but it doesn't look like she's faded at all.

The darker Cotton Candy is often the Mail order version.

Yes, it can be difficult, since they fade over time too. She may well be a mail order, its not easy to be 100% sure though. Shes lovely eitherway :D

That purple one is beautiful. :ponylove: I like her more than the original.

Notice I have gone through "liking" all the "keep them both" replies? :D

Yip yip!I too say keep both! :D
This does make me wander tho.......... I have a Bonnie Bonets who is definately pink and not light purple like all descriptive sites say she should be. Is it fading or variant?

My 2 Blossoms looks different too, just like yours. The one with the concave hooves is more muted purple and the flat foot is a brighter purple. I agree, keep 'em both!

Collector ponies tend to vary so much, you could end up with an army LOL
