G1 A strange spot on the muzzle of a pony.

Hello. I'm going to buy a pony on eBay, but before buying I would like to know what kind of stain it is?

Unfortunately, it's almost impossible to know for sure until you have the pony. In my experience, stains with very blurred edges like this are usually soaked into the vinyl, but this is not always the case. Some marks lift surprisingly easily, others require special chemical treatment, and others may never come out. You could ask if the seller is willing to gently scratch it with a fingernail and see if it comes up clean.

Do you think it will be possible to remove it with a UV box ?
 
This is what the seller told me.

There is a mark to the right of your circle that is definitely ball point pen. The mark you circled might be some grime, or it might be something else. UV works on most things, but I think you just need to decide if the price is worth the risk of it being an age spot.

Is there a way to get rid of age spots? It's just that I'm new to this forum and haven't really figured it out yet, that's why I'm asking for advice here :unsure:

The price of this pony is 11.12, so I think I can take a chance. But I still need to figure this out.

Exactly. It's how we all learned too. This forum is full of great information. Sometimes we may not know exactly what a pony has. And this way you can learn the difference between some issues. The photos and videos on there helped me the most so I could compare what I was looking at. We are always happy to help too. :D I learned the hard way buying ponies I didn't research before and have had to figure out how to help them. It's perfect that you ask for help! Plus the wonderful mods we have will help guide you as well.

It just takes time and patience, you will learn. It won't happen overnight and I am still learning, each situation is a little different each time. Lots and lots of practice too! But you will get there.
