Hi guys,

I recently bought a g1 Bow Tie on eBay for only £1.50! I could see from the photos that she had a few stains and marks but I was pretty confident those would clean off.

BUT, she arrived today and man those stains are stubborn! She has bright red splotches on her leg and foot that I think are ink stains, and the "dirty marks" I saw in the photos turned out to be cancer spots :( (see photos)

I hear that cancer spots are impossible to remove, but I scrubbed at them anyway to see if they would budge but they won't of course. So I've kinda come to terms with the fact that those aren't going anywhere.

As for the ink stains, I have tried regular soapy water, acetone, and the benzoyl peroxide method, nothing seems to have made a difference.

SO

Long story short, I think my remaining option would be to paint over her stains and spots. I have seen people on YouTube using acrylic paint to touch up scuffed cutie marks, but has anybody used acrylic to touch up the body?

I feel like, even if I managed to get a good colour match with the acrylic paint, it would still look weird because it has a different finish to her body paint.

Are there other types of paint I could use?

Any opinions/advice is welcome!!

TIA!

Molly

Sunfading may work better. There are also some liquid dyes that you can use to darken her if fading the marks takes too much color out.
