The MOC Italian Seashell I bought from ebay not too long ago cost me $56.00 USD. It was the BIN price but I have seen auctions go upwards of around $65.00 + but also it's origins can be a determining factor. The MOC Italian Seashell I bought was in a French packaging, from what the seller told me is a common version sold. Hope this helps :)

Thanks very much :)

I never see plain old US seashell's up for auction, so might have to go for the more common Italian lol!

You definitely should dear.......
Italian Seashell has become more common (*much to MY delight!) either loose or MOC. She's just as beautiful and worth the effort (*but then again, aren't foreign G1's the most worthwhile to get?)! :)

lol, i have a nice mint US one, but i did get an Italian whose hair was a bit messy and was covered in marks, so i traded her off! The MOC's look very tempting though.

She was my fave childhood pony so i gotta get her!

(*smiles sentimentally, crosses fingers for you)! I on the other hand am still looking for the notorious French mutant etoilebleu has, pale off-white with green mane/tail, green shells. I am also looking out for the South African one as well (*sighs........... )

LOL, i saw his (im buying some moc's off him *yey*) i thought maybe someone had left it on a sunbed for a loooong time lol.

i saw the south african but i'm not so taken with her pose i think, Seashell should be sitting and doomed to bumshuffling.

Aren't the sitting pose ponies the best?! My fave besides the 2 versions of Seashell is the Brazillian Bowtie with the rainbow hair my friend Vin21 has, he is so lucky. Seashell and bubbles are definitely childhood faves of mine and the day I united the Hong Kong versions and the Italians together made me even more adamant about Italians. I've even managed to become quite proficient at collecting Bubbles and Seashell as I have only 1 set of the Hong Kong versions but have 2 sets of the Italians. Definitely going to root for you on Italian Seashell. I wonder though what language her backcard is printed in since she is a well traveled variant having been sold in Germany, France, as well as Italy. This pony is definitely a traveler

From what i can see (there are two)

One says, mon petit poney, and My Little Pony, mon petit is slightly smaller under my little, on the traditional rainbow.

the other just says mon petit poney, with les poneys charmante(a) underneath. Last word is kinda hard to read so the c may be a g etc.

With that particular auction I won, the backcard was in French but the bottom part was hard to read. The packaging was black-spotted so opening it was a neccesity for me. Good thing I did, when I looked on Italian Seashell's non display side, mold had grown around near the symbols. Another 5 years in that bubble she wouldn't have made it. Hopefully when you win that MOC there won't be the same problem. Acetone nail polish remover killed the mold on mine but there is now a faded brown stain where the mold had been for many years inside the packaging. That is one of the reasons why MOC's I get are opened, the ponies inside are just too precious and expensive to leave at the mercy of mold and mildew :x ! I think I have seen the auction earlier today, isn't one of the sellers based in the UK? You get a better chance if that's so (*praying X-tra hard for you dear! :) )Let me know how it goes for you sweetie! 8)

Yep Uk, so nice cheap shipping for me (if i win that is) at least there is a back up auction if i miss one.

I also remember seeing a MOC Starflower in that auction as well. Makes me glad I am getting a loose one from a seller here in the US. but to my delight I also saw a Italian Parasol with 2nd addition rainbow hair with the German backcard. If you ever become interested in that auction let me be the first to inform you. It comes with a puffy sticker of Starflower that smells like a gumball. I just love G1 puffy stickers, my fave being Skyflier's sticker with her twist pose. :) :D

heheh, i wouldnt open the MOC if i won, i mean, you pay so much more for the MOC, and i love the artwork!

Normally when I open an MOC I make a careful incision on the bottom corner of the bubble and carefully pull out the pony so as not to damage the artwork on the front. Since it's the card that is most important, I usually then take a pair of sissors and cut the bubble. I then carefully cut the part near the glue seal so that only the thin flat plastic remains on the card. I preserve the integrity of the art on the card and enjoy the pony all the same. Hope that tip helps some :) 8)

lol, i dont know if i could open a MOC... i'd feel too guilty, and on their card they're mint forever, unless water gets in...

That factor was another reason MOC's get opened by me. In the end for me at least, it's about the pony. But the positive side to that is of course the guarantee that the pony is at it's mintiest (*my mildew incident nonwithstanding of course). The cards are also awesome because you get to see how international My Little Pony is. I have backcards printed in Greek, Spanish, German, and French and each MOC I get gets more and more better. But my fave MOC's are the UK G1's because they not only have the backcard art but the pamphlet as well. These pamphlets are cool because you not only see the ponies offered at the time but their prototype versions as well. That just whets my appetite for more G1's and much to my wallet's dismay, encourages my pony cravings more        !!!!
