So I have a slightly battered old Baby Moondancer that used to be my cousin's - last year, she got rid of all her ponies, and gave me my two favorites that I used to play with when we were kids, and Moondancer was one of them. But lately, like the past month or so, I've started taking Moondream (the name I called her when I was little, since I didn't know/care what her actual name was, lol) everywhere with me. Anytime I take a trip somewhere, she comes, lol. I'm going to start taking pictures of her in various places, like when I go to Florida in November. :) I was just wondering if anyone else had anything like this, or if I'm just reeeeeaaaally strange. :p

You're not alone. My near CB Curly Locks has become the voyaging pony of the herd. I just got back from Ocean Shores, and Curly went along. I was taking plenty of pics of her to show, then my mom got sand in the camera and it broke. :x Rar. I've taken my BnG's, and TAF's on vacation in previous years. Curly has become the traveler now, she's going with me to Newport next month, and on a cruise to Alaska next summer. People kinda looked at me strangely when I walked by with a pony head sticking out of my purse... but nobody said anything.

For me it's usually Parasol or Cotton Candy... They are both cheap travel companions ;)

I've had Baby Graffiti in my purse for a couple weeks now. I think I will retire her for a while because she's looking a little funky.

I'll probably take a G3 baby with me from now on. She can help me find my keys.

re

I have baby blue ribbon always in my bag. he's just such a cutie, lolz.

I don't have a travel pony, but my husband does! :) I got him a baity 4-speed (aka Trucker in the UK, which is more applicable here) for him to tote around with him. He drives a semi over the road, and it's silly, but I feel better knowing he has a little something from home (from me) with him at all times.

Of course, poor old Trucker has only gotten grubbier and dingier since he's been tucked in a dark corner of my hubby's cab... :)

My childhood Masquerade. She's even gotten to go to Mardi Gras in New Orleans this past year ^_^

Re:

I don't travel so much and when I do I tend to forget all about the poor ponies.

That's me, I get totaly caught up in what I'm suposed to do and forget everything. And every time I come home I realize I should have brought one with me when other people talk about it :)

I remember one time when I was like 10 though and me, my mum, my uncle and grandmother and grandfather went to this little cottage in the woods (as we did ever summer) and I insisted on bringing ALL my ponies (which back then was around 70 or so) AND the pony stable AND the Ballet Studio *lol* One car was only filled with ponies. I always got my will ;P
I think I should look up those old pics of that trip and see if we have one with everything.

re:

lol, my cousin and I used to go to my grandparents house in Cape Cod every summer. I remember the year I was about 8, we brought both our pony collections (about 150 total), all of our LPS sets (somewhere around 70 sets) AND all of our puppy in my pockets (235 puppies...there's a reason I remember that number). It was insane. We spent two days just setting them up around the bedroom. My grandparents were so mad, lol! :p But it kept us busy, so they couldn't complain much.

Whizzer, a friend of mine drives a truck around the country, and I actually gave him a Baby Racer to keep him company. He keeps him on the dashboard, haha! It's so cute. :)

Adrilahan, that's insane! That's one well-travelled pony, lol!

Lol, almost everytime I leave the house, a Pony comes w/ me. ^=^ My collection is in the basement, so I usually just chose one that's up here. Much of the time, it's one I've just recently added to the herd.

A lot of times, I'll tell whoever's w/ me to pick a Pony, too - my mom, friend Doug, and even Hubby are all good sports about it. ^=^

The last real vacation I went on out to the River, I brought Fair Weather. I wanted to bring MB Sunburst so bad, I had recently gotten him, but I was too afraid I'd mess him up. When I run to the store or something with my mom, sometimes I'll bring a pony, but its soo hot here and the humidity makes it worse (average temp of 90-101) and I know they wont melt, but I'm afraid they'll get too soft or squish or something. Thats probably an irrational fear, but any pony I'd want to bring is special, and...so you know where thats going. "What if she fades!?" I'm very parinoid. Although Tic-Tac-Toe did come to the mall with me the other day. I just got her and I was hypnotized by her beauty lol :)Must...follow....pony....sparkly....eyes....look into.......eyes.......

oh man, with all of my daughters and husbands things, I don't have room for anything for myself. If I could I would take glory with me :)

when i was little it was SS windwhistler, she came everywhere. by her tail LOL

Being a bit of a heretic here, but I take my favourite Hello Kitty plush everywhere with me. She's been to London, Manchester, Wales, Paris, anywhere that isn't home actaully :) Recently I took her to the Forest of Dean, but I also took a baby Pony too, to take some photographs. If I did have one I'd take everywhere it'd be Strawberry Fair/Sugarberry (who I've always called Strawberry Pony). I'm taking her to the Convention w/ me :D

Tink-a-tink-a-too

But baby Penny Candy lives in my car. She's my fading experiment.

:)

I have a little mohawked baby rainbow pony... Light blue earthie... can't remember her name. She stowed away on my honeymoon, and now i have deemed her my travelling pony! I haven't taken her anywhere lately though...maybe she should come with me this weekend...?
