Are we gonna move again?

I don't know if I posted this in the wrong or right place.

I'm just wondering if we are gonna move again? I saw someone posting about that this was only temporary?
Anyone who knows if that is true?

I really like it here. This site is so simple and so pretty :D
I don't see a reason to move again. But maybe there is a reason I'm not aware of? :?

Just curious.
 
I think it's only temporary until Jen or Feclir decide to come back and shut it down or figure out something else to do with it. I really doubt if that'll happen though because they've esentially been MIA for more than two years now. It moved to MLPTP.net because Jen (the domain owner) wouldn't talk to SS or transfer the domain or give her access rights to put up a different board, is what I remember hearing.
 
Yeah, I think that was what I heard too. That this is only temporary untill that problem with mlptp.com is fixed.

But I mean, it's good here so why not make this permanent? Why wait for something that maybe never will happen? Why not "make ourselfs at home" here?

this place is temporary because SS did not want to hijack jenn's board. IF jenn comes back she is welcome to take the reigns and direct the board however she sees fit. but we set this place up because it simply wasn't feasible to stay at ezboard and SS didn't have the ability to redirect the mlptp.com address away from ezboard.

so, look at it this way: it's indefinitely temporary. it might be "temporary" forever. :p
 
Oh darn! now I'm worried that if we move, I'm going to be left behind, I like it here, the other site was kind of dark...this one looks prettier. I really don't want to leave.

I don't want to move again. This place is so much better.
Let's hope things will never get fixed with the other site so we can all stay here ;P

who do you mean? it's entirely possible that if jenn comes back, she will decide she likes this board and simply redirect mlptp.com here.

don't get worked up yet. any possibility of moving relies solely on IF jenn comes back, and even then it's not a certainty.
 
Diet- I wasn't talking about anyone in particular...don't worry. I always get worried over everything, by tomorrow I'll forget about it
 
Can i ask who jenn is, and where she went for the board to have to move?

jenn is the founder of the mlptp. she owns the ID "MLPTP" on the ezboard... er... board. she is also the only one with access to the domain "mlptp.com" to make changes such as where the links point to, layout, etc. a couple of years ago she and the other founder, fecler, disappeared. the problems on ezboard got worse, and around october/november jenn reappeared to move the board to phpBB format. when she did, however, the new board crashed due to her server's limitations. she reinstated the ezboard and put up a notice that she would try again "next weekend," and then disappeared again. SS and nick's kitten tried several times to contact her, but she completely shut them out, so SS took it upon herself to move the board here, "temporarily," so as not to offend jenn if she ever comes back.

I guess it'd be hard for jenn to take offense though if she just dissappeared and shut SS out?

Hard to live by but both you and me - Galaxy - maybe should try ;P
 
lol totally, I'm such a worry wart! I was worried about my parents bills when I was 10...abnormal, lol
 
Pretty much everyone answered the question. This site is temporary until such time that Jenn comes back, and takes over MLPTP.com

This however, may never happen. So make yourselves comfortable, and don't worry your pretty little heads about it. :wink:
 
I really wouldn't worry about it. I don't think Jenn is coming back.
