Beddy Bye Eye De-Rusting Alternatives?

I seem to get ponies and forget about them :hmph:
Anyways, I found a BBE Baby Sundance who only has ONE rusty eye. The other eye has very slight rust but only on the eyelid. I don’t want to buy Rit Rust Remover for one pony, and a baby pony at that. Is there an alternative to RRR? Tried whitening toothpaste but it just removed her lashes :( it wasn't like they weren’t going to fall off in any moment or anything...
Edit: I could always De-BBEdify her, I don’t know. She is very scratched up on her back, but her hair is pretty good.
 
This could be a test pony? Rust remover doesn't go bad, at least that I know, so maybe you have ponies you could open up and take care of so you don't feel wasteful? Have you checked Amazon to see if they have smaller bottles? I don't know of an alternative, maybe baking soda and vinegar?

Hmm... I checked and saw some small bottles for cheap... Maybe I’ll try rust removers and fake lashes first. If all else fails, deBBEdifying it is! Thank you!
