Btw, Why is (Insert Pony) So Popular?

And then there’s Firefly the pink Pegasus and then Firefly the sparkly baby in G1 XD Looks like they lose track of names sometimes. Their symbols are different, so they’re both different ponies.
Guess that means that pony names aren't unique. Maybe repeat names like Firefly and Cuddles are akin to our Jack and Sarah.

Munchy. I just cant get into her symbols. Her colors are nice but yeah just cant get into her.

And I dont get into the sea ponies or the babies with blinky eyes.

Mimic... I LOVE her colors. Her pose. Everything. So I understand why she is sought after but no.. she's not that rare. I've seen up to 7-8 mimics on Ebay at one time. Then if you check marcari and etsy.. shes found there too. Her price does need to come down a bit too. $120+ is excessive for her I think.

I love the original baby seaponies. I loved to play with them in the bath as a kid. But I don’t find myself wanting to collect them that much because they’re a pain to display. I don’t like the seashells that much and they can be expensive.

I’m not into the BBE’s either, with the exception of Heartthrob, because that was my favorite toy as a kid. That being said, I think one reason she stood out to me was because her doll eyes were so different from my other ponies. Though she was also my only baby pony for a long time, and her coloring is nice.

I played with them too. I remember their floats best for some reason. But yeah I seem to enjoy collecting just the normal ponies.

Why are the flutter ponies so popular? Their bodies look so odd to me, and the plastic clip on the back is a bit of an eyesore. Plus the wings break so easily, though I’ve seen some amazing custom wings.

I'd suspect the Flutter Ponies were popular because they were a departure from the typical portrayal of pegasi, using fairy like wings instead of bird wings. The fact that, in the series, they got their own battle anthem probably helped as well.

I know Rapunzel is sooo rare but I agree with the reason I love the yellow with the bright pink tinsel she’s so freakin cute! I love all the 80s color schemes the bright teal and pinks with purple .

Well you see, Insert is a very rare and limited pony hailing from a relatively tiny country most people haven't even heard of. Her colors and pose are so unique and beautiful! Only the most Hardcore Pony Collectors know about her. Fewer still are willing to pay her stratospheric prices. True story.

I think the reason why some mail orders are popular is how much people are willing to pay for them. Btw once I saw on the game "would you rather:" and it said for one of the options Rapunzel or something im doubting they were reffering to mlp but I probably smashed that button fast.

Some of them are. Some are very common and cheap.

The Baby Embers are fairly common and don't go for a lot. Baby Stockings and Baby Lucky are the same.

Goldilocks flies under the radar and seems to fetch the same prices as other SHS.

Even MO Starhopper, who is popular and a pain to find, only goes between $20-$30, which, given her unusual colors and very unusual symbol is surprising. But not unwelcome.

Im being tortured over mountain boys right now their prices are way to high. ive got the mountian boy blues.
Same here. $300 is too much for one pony for me. They may remain on the wishlist forever!

I've wondered why the birth flower ponies are desirable... even the Australian alternatives. I had the full set of U.S. ones and sold them. I wasn't even interested in keeping my own birth month. We didn't keep the alternative one we had either.
