Omg you guys.
I just bought a G1 pony, and her hair is dry, and burnt!
How can I fix this?????? :eek:mg:

OUCH!

I would trim off the burnt ends of hair.

I read a tutorial recently about extremely dry hair, and what it said was to put conditioner in the hair, then iron it (on the lowest setting of your iron) until the conditioner was worked in, then repeat as necessary. I used it on some EXTREMELY dry (like crumbling, it was horrid) hair on my Peruvian Medly. Her hair isn't fixed, it isn't perfect, but I'll tell you I can get a brush through it now as good as any brand new G3's hair. And it's WAY softer! It doesn't fell like it's going to break apart when I touch it anymore. I wish I had taken before/after photos.

Good luck! Maybe someone else will have some good suggestions. :)

Do you have pics? I once found a pony with burnt hair, so bad that it actually had a *brown* spot where it had been burnt. Is yours like this?

Oh maaaaan. Here's the tutorial that talks about ironing:

I hope it's only burnt on the ends :( Maybe someone tried the ironing method on too high a setting or for too long a time. Or maybe some little girl just thought it would be cool to use a curling iron.... Agh!:spiders_5t:

Actually I have found that brushing boiled hair seems to work better for me than ironing. Just keep the hair super hot and keep brushing it (get the knots out before boiling) across a towel...dipping her over and over until you like the look. It really does work wonders! I will actually do a before and after pic today!
