I hate my family right now. I am out half the day running erron and checking on things and come home in a fairly good mood to find what.
MY Guardian of Harmon shelf ruined.
Chrissy shoe are gone
Twilight has on one wing
And to top it all off my nice broke my nightmare moon my best friend gave me a year or so ago.
She cant stand her tail is ripped almost off.
I have been begging and pleading for some kinda lock on my door but no one will get one and put it on. I don't work I dont always have money.

Now I am sitting her crying and trying to vent with out going and yelling at a two year old. Who has done this kinda thing 7 times now. I forgave her we found stuff. Now one thing is broken the wing is gone the shoes are gone we have look all over.

Maybe I should leave this hobby I am sick of my ponies being hurt and I tired of my castle being torn down.
And most of all I am tired of my family not give two cents about it.
If I broke something I hear about it for years and years.
who care right its just a toy. A toy that I love and has a good memory to it. I am going to go cry again.
I am sick of all the drama and tired of all my stuff getting broken.

Oh I am sorry that is really upsetting and unfair.

You should put a baby gate in your doorway if you can.

And that kid should be supervised!

Other than that, I have a customizing area and have raised 2 kids.... My son ran off with my rehair tool once and it was just gone.

I found it waaaayy later tucked between his mattress and the wall.

They have this phase but they are usually out of it by ages 3-4

Your neice is 2, so she might mature within a year or two.

This hobby takes patience, that's for sure

My friend actually put double baby gates on the door to her room to keep her twin toddlers out. Worked well, but it would not have kept me out at that age.:D

My door is a pocket door I have tried gates but it want stay due to the pocket opening.
I close my door when not in my room.

My sister just comes in sits on the sofa and let's my two nieces pull out and drag out. I can't protect my toys if I am not here.

I know she little but I mad that no one cares that my stuff was broke. I don't have money to go by new ones. So that one reason I am upset

Oh boy a pocket door, about the only you could do would be a latch type lock at the top where you could loop a master lock that takes a key through it. All you need is a drill and that kind of hardware is quite inexpensive. Paint it glittery purple.

I got to do something.
I got a early present or two and that goodness my niece had not seen it yet.

Doesn't matter if its a toy, or an antique china set. Boundaries need to be set and though your neice is only two, her parents and your parents need to make sure she doesn't get into everything.

After all, they would not appreciate it if the little girl got into their room, or worse, something dangerous to her. Like medication , sharp things or heavy things.

I'd tell your siblings and inlaw that they're going to start paying to replace your stuff, if they cannot keep their little girl out of unoccupied rooms, where she could get accidentally hurt/destroy something.

You can find cheap, locking door knobs at walmart with a key hun. Installing them is a breeze as long as you have a screwdriver.

I had to buy doorlocks for my daughter and I when certain five-fingered relatives and their destructive kids visited/stayed.

Stand your ground! Remind them that They are teaching her bad manners. You live there and the little ones are Not to be in your room without you at home.

Also until they get the message and you purchase a doorlock, keep your most breakable or cherished stuff high up.

Sorry for the drama but I am just so sick of the way I am the lazy child and my sister and her family are the golden children and can do no wrong for the most part.
My did FINALLY got my locks but they have not been put on. I want to replace my poor nightmare moon and Twilight vs Changling but of course my parent still say no there stupid toys and you have to many.
My shelves look so strange with out them.

Iono what to do about that.

I agree. Your niece should be supervised and taught now about respect. My daughter learned around then. Even my dog knows not to touch the ponies. At the very least a gate could help. By letting her do it they're letting her know that it's okay to destroy others toys without consequence. That won't go over well at school. I may be mean for it, but if you come in my home you're made aware of the "you break it, you buy it" rule. I only have one tv and it's older than my daughter. I can't afford a new one. My only in person friend let her sons break 3 tv's with video game remotes before they were even potty trained. Needless to say, they behave at my house. I grew up with this rule and I've never been able to just replace items over five dollars easily so it's just how it is. My daughter knows that if she breaks her iPad, she won't get another. She knows to tell other kids the rule if they want to touch it, too. Does that make me a 'big fat meany head'? So be it.

Agreed with everything Tak said. Its about respect and boundaries. I have an altar in my room and my daughter learned at a young age that she had better not even think of touching it.

As beloved aunty and part time baby-sitter, its also partly up to you to state your rules. Just as it would be for any adult if they went over to play at a friend's house

Do not take without asking.

Do not enter someone's room without asking.

If you can't play nicely with my toys, you will not play with my toys.

Do not touch this or that. Its delicate and aunty would be upset if you broke it.

Trust me, the kiddos will learn. ;)

If your sibs don't like it, I'd remind them that they should be teaching these simple rules of courtesy and not making other people do it for them.

Ology you have a doorlock now. You don't need to wait for your dad to put it in. Its super easy to do.

Well sadly yes I do I have a irrational fear of power tools. I have had a drill go through my skin and I have broken things and them been whipped for it ( younger me and I did not mean to do it). I too nervous around drills and all and my dad is mr grumpy when it come to that kinda stuff. don't touch his stuff or he will get you.

My dad suppot to put them on later today after he blows the leaves in the side yard. I got very sick yesterday and Have been in the bed most of the day feeling really really bad and depressed.

Ive been yell at again for toys even though my parent gave them to me. I have to give up over half of my poor Lalaloopsy. My poor dolls going to good will. I am scared my dad would take his threat to throw me out seriously iono what I would do if that happens. Mom keeps calling me crazy and get to me and I just want to take something and take a long nap just to get away from the waking work for awhile.

There are laws in the USA for basic human rights/fair treatment and abuse prevention of Adults with Disabilities. These laws are upheld in the court system and all people must abide by these laws when dealing with, living with or employing a person with a disability. Notice I say a "person" with a disability. We are all people and we have basic human rights to be treated fairly, kindly and our personal belongings fall right into that category. No one has a right to take items from another person without their consent unless a court of law has issued a violation that would result in the removal of something: like too many pets, hoarding, unlawful substances, things that are health hazards and so on. I know it happens all of the time and people treat people badly. A lot of times it goes on too because, in society there are far more fears in making sure laws are enforced and higher losses for the disabled if laws are violated. This is most certainly true for people who have to live with other family members or friends rather than living on their own. These are very important issues though and something I am very passionate about. I cared for a disabled man for many years and, I learned a lot about the laws during that time. Those people with a disability of any kind no matter what it is are very vulnerable and sometimes people think it is just fine and okay to abuse vulnerable people. It is not and that is never okay.
