Collecting only one pony or pony type?

I am wondering is there anyone who just collect one pony or maybe one type?

I am pretty much just collecting G4Rarity ponies and EQG, and merch. I also collect minty and custom.

I have not really wanted much in the way of newer toys other then Rarity or minty other then the pony stable and moonstone that just came out. But those are the rare oddity I don't mind.
 
I was never this type of collector, but I totally understand people who are. I tend to need a variety to keep myself interested in things. With that being said, I do have a small G1 Applejack army due to my love of her colors, symbol and trying to grab many country versions of her. So, sorta but not completely on my end. Lots of collectors focus on one sculpt of something they love. I have seen that many times.
 
Except for a few odd ones out I just have been drawn to only collecting Custom minty and Rarity. Now I do love my castles and all.
 
I usually like to keep a good variety going, but I'm having a G4 alicorn craze at the moment if that counts XD
 
See I am at a point where my other ponies mostly G4 are having to be pushed out for my rarity heck I have one whole shelf of them.
I don't know where to put all these others and frankly I just don't like them on the shelves I rather see MInty Rarity and my custom. So I am at a impass do I sale these and make more room or keep them which frankly I am not that into but Iono how I will be later but I don't have room to store all these others.

ITs a question I need help with anyone got a though then please help me out.
 
No. I need variety. I'm not an army collector type. Plus with as precious little variety as Bore G Four is giving us, that's even more imperative.

I wonder if my Asperger has something to do with it? I get fix on one thing maybe two and roll with it. The other stuff just kinda fades into the background.

It could but I would just think embrace what you love and enjoy collecting Rarity and Minty. A collection is supposed to make you feel joy when looking at it. If you are not feeling that with the others and only feel it with Minty and Rarity; then to me that is your collection interest for now. You can always change your interests as you move through your years of collecting. I have done that. I would really be into one particular line of toys for a while and lost interest in it and would go for something else, only to return interest to the previous love. So, a collector can be strict and restricted in their collecting or all over the place. It's just whatever makes you happy. Fixation on certain things may have a reason. I use to be all things dark pink and I am so over that now. LOL I use to be all things Hello Kitty and I so don't want anything HK now. So, lol you could try to figure out why and never understand it.
 
That is one impressive Rarity collection.

Sometimes I feel like I should just focus on one pony to get things comepleted in my collection. But I have caught hard core pony fever and see one and I have to have it. Much like Abu and the red gem that captures him and Aladdin in the Cave of Wonders...
 
It depends with me, I always buy ponies based on their symbols on them, which some what describes my personality in a way.

Or I'll purchase based on the color of their hair or body. So it depends. I love different kinds of ponies.

I try not to stick to one type of pony. :)

My favorite pony is Sugar Berry g1, she has always been my favorite. I remember when I first got her too.

She smelled yummy, I loved her hair and design. Plus her name alone is adorable. :ponylove:
 
I like to collect anything I can get my, heh, well, hooves on.
Although I definitely have a lot of Starlight Glimmer. I buy her whenever I see something of her that I don't have in stores.
 
I have a couple of armies on the go, but for the majority of my collection I just get whatever appeals to me. The armies I started because they were some of my favourite ponies (Peachy/Snuzzle) or favourite designs (G4 Princesses).
