Just bought a
Montgomery ward UHT j1984 metal body made in Japan sewing machine!
Looking at the diagram in the inside of the lid it looks like it has 32 different built in stitches. it also has a thread tension dial, a stitch width dial, a automatic clutch bobbin winder, a twin thread spool (came with extra thread spool pin and double needle!), and 16 clicky stitch selection buttons.
It also has a small black panel on the top of the base containing a reverse button, a stitch length dial, and a variable speed slider.
I got this little beauty at a thrift store for 7 dollars no tax!

Ooo! Looks super nice! Show off your new creations when you finish!

My poopsie bought me a new sewing machine four years ago and I am ashamed to admit I never used it once. I really need to get that sucker outta the box and see what she can do!

I love vintage machines. I had an old Singer Touch & Sew for many years; I only upgraded to a newer machine when the rods warped so badly it wasn't worth fixing. :( Still can't get used the plastic shell on the new one! :p

I remeber learning and doing that with my grandma when I was 10. <3

When I was a child I would had loved to be able to sew for my barbies. As I started to collecting my little ponys I felt like... ooh, childish but it feels good.
After my collection growed I somehow remembered my childehood dream to sew barbiedresses.
Like the ponys opend the door to it. And now at 31 i loove :flutter2: to sew that little dresses. :lolpony:

I know what you mean! Plus, those dresses use such small amounts of fabric and trim. I, sadly, have no sewing machine right now. I don't want to waste money on another machine that won't last a year. I'm hoping to get one in the next couple years so I can teach my daughter.

Yes! And at the moment I mostly use the same pattern but there are so many different possibilities to mach colors and prints. It never gets boring and in no time you have something created you can be happy about.
