Hi everyone!! I'm going to be doing some customs soon and I'm very new to this process. Any tips would be welcome.
I have a specific question though. I'm going to be customizing a Cloud Dreamer, a Magic Message. She's not in "awful" condition, her cutie mark is pretty worn, might still work though. She has a haircut and glue on her face. Is she worth customizing? Should I restore her instead? If I just fullblown customize her, how should I remove her cutie mark? I'm going to be customizing a Snuzzle too so I might have questions regarding that as well. I'll post pics soon. Thanks! <3
 
Cloud Dreamer isn’t that hard to find, but I may be wrong. I think you could just remove her symbol with acetone. However, if she is not that bad like you describe, I think you could restore her, since she’s not fully bait, maybe like an alt rehair or symbol restoration, but it’s all really up to you, since it’s your pony. If you want to customize, go ahead!

Thank you! I don't think she is, but she has body issues a lot. I don't think mine really has the discoloration she gets often. (besides around her cutie mark)

She looks fine to me. Haircuts are easy to fix and some people don't mind them. Maybe offer to trade for a bait, or sell her and then buy a bait with the money?

Its her tail. Her hair is fine so I won't touch it. Her cutie mark is gross though I'd probably do a re-paint. I already removed the mark. Actually, I'm thinking more so a Christmas custom-because of her colors. Keeping her as close to original condition as possible though.
 
Tails are the easiest thing to replace as far as restoration goes, but if you already removed her mark may as well go for it. :p
