Tee hee, there is so much more to the story. I just found the scene to remind me of as you said it Hansel and Gretel which was a favorite of mine as a child.
 
 
Lizzie Borden was not originally going to be in mine. But after set up I was like anyone else and she fell off my shelf next to ( Annabelle and yes that is my 1940's raggedy anna's name) I have another from the late fifty or early sixty named Belle but that is after the Belle Witch not Annabelle).
Yeah I am weird I name toys after creepy things its just what I do.
