Any interest is appreciated.

I am completing a list and pictures of apx. 25-30 1980's generation My Little Pony figures for sale. I am researching if collectors use sites other than ebay for their purchases.

Long time ebay selling resulted in more and more fees and less support for smaller sellers. I have moved to Bonanza and use Checkout by Amazon.

Below are a few images of the ponies and I am working to match the figures to their names and generations.

Thank you for your input, information and any interest!

I think on Ebay you get the widest audience, but fees can be pretty steep and eat into any profit rather quickly. Personally, I enjoy doing sales here on the message boards. It is more personable. Plus, you are helping out a member in the community and that gives me warm fuzzies. :)

I just moved to bonanza myself, ebays new defect system is going to butcher small time sellers , and there fees are just crazy, but as with etsy , ecrater, bonanza ect, they do not have the traffic ebay and amazon do so you have to drive people to your store

Your ponies are in stunning condition. You will not have any problem selling those, they are beautiful. As mentioned, ebay will give you the best audience, however the fees are very steep.
Pictures are everything, and yours are great,
Selling on the pony forums could be a cheaper option as there are no fees.
All the best with your sales

If you are looking for assistance in IDing the ponies you have, I would use this site: Dream Valley for any of the older ones, like the few you have pictured above.

I do most of my purchasing on this forum and through ebay (though not as often there). I often forget about the existence of ecrater and bonanza...

Yeah, I got really tired of ebay charging all the outrageous fees. It's hard to make any money on there for low-priced items like MLP or Barbies, which I used to sell on ebay. That's precisely what brought me here:) Glad to hear about bonanza, maybe I'll give it a try.

Thank you all for such great information and support. The id'ing is coming along and Ive been thinking of maybe grouping 3 ponies or so as a lot for sale that way? I would like to ship usps flat rate padded envelope, whic can fit about three figures and costs apx $6 priority.

I hope to give the Bonanza site a go as I have other collectibles too. Thanks again for all the help!

Thank you. It looks like I cant see the post here in this forum anymore. Did I place it in the wrong location?

If you need help with ID, I usually find that dream valley is the best. You can also post on here and we can help you out. Not sure if you were looking to ID the ones you posted but they are Gusty (leaf symbol) Skyflier (kites), So Soft Heart Throb (fuzzy one) and Sundance. I really like buying and selling right here on the forums, it is much easier to get a sense of who you are dealing with and I find it much cheaper for both sides. The only time I buy off ebay is if it is a large lot because trying to buy individual ponies gets way too expensive.

I'd love to support sellers on sites other than eBay, but for all the complaints I've heard about eBay prices being bad, Etsy and Bonanza are worse. I'm not sure why this is -- with fewer fees to recoup, shouldn't the prices on the whole be LOWER?

I love the sparkly blue background you used! That will definitely draw more buyers!
