its reaaaaly hard to get their heds off
i got one off before but cant figure out how to put it back on now
anyone have a magical way to do that?? :squid:

I have heard boiling works but I have never tried it, normally if they don't pop right off I have someone pull the head really tight and then carefully just cut the glue on the neck (not to far or you get the plug or ring or whatever you wanna call it)..

and as for putting the head back one? I stick a bit of the ring/plug in the whole and then twist and push so that more of the plug goes in each time you twist

thank you!!
im gonna go try it now :smiley_duck:

i tried that today, boiling the head to soften the glue on the neck, it didn't work. i do use a razor blade and cut the seam until i can twist the head off. the pain in the butt part is pulling the mane out. that takes a few dips in the boiling water to soften the glue, hair or whatever is in there. ugh. hate it.

good luck, by the way.
thanks!!
i tried it too
it totally helped!!!!
BUT it also totally warped the pony's body (
I must have left it in there too long
but its no big deal, I paid 50 cents for her and im not in to g3s anyways

i did however discover a much easier way to get the tail and head back on!
BLOW DRYER
i just aimed it at the area that i needed to be softened and it totally worked

When I put a g3 in boiling water it warped too!! eventually it did go back in to shape, not 100% but still, it was ok in the end lol

They say if you're going to boil a pony head, body and all, you need to remove the head first, otherwise it creates a vacuum in the body and it kind of implodes.

To boil the head to soften it up for removal, I'd suggest just putting a bowl of water in the microwave for a minute or two, and dipping just the head and neck in the bowl for a while, then try taking off the head.

These are just ideas, however. I've never successfully removed the head of a G3, but I only tried once and gave up after a tug.

The ponies out now shouldn't have glue in their neck seams since their heads turn, but all the old G3s have tons apparently.

Good luck!

oh yes!! that totally makes sense!
i should know these things! i am a science teacher after all duh!
im glad im not the only one who had issues with this

i use a small pot to boil the water, wish is enough for me to stick the head in, of course i don't stick the head in to soften the glue on the neck seam. i use the water to soften the glue in the head. it can get really soft and squishy when i take it out. makes it easy for me to push the hair closer to the open hole and pull them roots out.
