Had seen some cartoon renditions of concepts of Noon Walker posted, and people talking about wanting to see Equestria Girl doll customs… so I decided to experiment with some cheap doll bases. Found a Pinkie Pie and a footless Rarity on eBay~ snatched them up for rather cheap.

Once the doll bases arrived I started work right away prepping them, to see exactly what it took to customize one of these. Removed the original hair rather easily~

All painted areas of the dolls were prepped with a layer of Gesso, eyes hand-painted by me in my own style. Reshaped Rarity’s and Pinkie Pie’s original eyes so they would fit my characters.

Painted 2 mini pony custom versions of the dolls to match, Noon Walker painted from a McD Rainbow Dash, and Mana painted from a McD Fluttershy. Reshaped Shy’s eyes to look more like Mana.

Painted markings and leggings on the Pinkie Pie body. All paint work sealed in Artists Varnish.

Scalps- re-rooted Noon’s scalp in dollyhair’s mlp nylon hair in the colors black magick, and a custom blend of blueberry muffin with stormy sky gray. Probably took me close to 5 hours to complete x.x

Mana’s scalp is re-rooted in dollyhair’s nylon mlp hair in the colors Twilight, mulberry crush and RetrodollUS’s vibrant lavender called Easter Egg.

Both gals have their hair tied back, Noon’s is in a braid and Mana’s a pony tail. Both have poofy styled bangs shaped by a curling iron and hair dryer. Mana’s hair has darker purple curled hair extension clips decorating it and a aqua bow, as Noon’s was requested to not have any accessories.

With the body outfits, I started out handstitched the fur pieces. All faux fur used, Mana has lavender fur tail with a white tip, fur on wrists and ankles. Did pale pink lace boots with brown strips of leather detailing.

Noon has a long floofy white folf tail with a gray tip. Fur is colored just that there is a tiny black tip on the gray tip.

Stitched black fur feet with thick black leather soles, and painted blue paw pads on the bottoms and lined the tops with the long white fur. There are hand-stitched beige leather pieces inside the black feet for structure.

Noon’s outfit is hand-stitched by me, several layers involving delicated ribbon detail, and a few widths and colors of bias tape for the skirt, matchin stripe details on the undershorts and top and Kingdom Hearts Roxas-inspired wristband.

Mana Lai is in a simple layered dress, with a neon yellow scarf material pleated ruffles stitched as sleeves~

Both gals have their cutiemarks painted on their outfits in acrylic paints. Noon’s is the Kingdom Hearts II Nobody symbol.

Mana Lai’s is the Fleur De Lis that was given to her to present her talent of “creativity”. I also added her crescent fur patch design that is on the back of her fursona form. Also alludes to her familiarity with Princess Luna~

Both gals have matching “feesh” collars, black ribbon with teal leather fish I cut out.

Mana Lai’s lightning bolt horn on both doll and mini pony figure is crafted from gold vinyl and painted in acrylic paints. Krazy glued in place and the doll version has orange hemp cord wrapped around the horn base.

Both mini ponies have “brushable” tails I crafted from the left over hair from the hair I used on the dolls’ scalps.

I custom engineered a pose to closest match the original vintage pony from two different generation 3 ponies. Body of the blue unicorn, and head from another.

Base coat of Gesso on head and body to create a texture for the acrylic paint to bond to.

Full body repaint job in lavender acrylics, I custom blended a bright pinkish purple for the mice cutie mark and the eye color. All hand painted, eyes have the structural features of the g1 design but are embellished in my personal style.

All paint work sealed in Artists Varnish.

Mane and tail are re-rooted in dollyhair’s nylon mlp hair in a custom blend of lemonade with yellow fever, and I did striped chunks switching between the nylon hair and dyed yellow mohair to give more of a witchy texture.

Pink hemp cord coiled around the tail base.

I noticed in a pic of Woosie’s accessories, that she has a bird comb hair clip extension so I painted a foam craft bird purple, and stitched a plug of donor magenta hair into the bottom of it. Styled the hair with a woven hemp piece, stitched it in place with a jade broach I salvaged from antique jewelry. The hemp piece wraps around the back of the head, and around the forehead forming a headband of sorts.

Woosie also has a green squirrel tail clip, so I got out a ceramic squirrel figure from my doo-dad drawer of randomness, and painted a squirrel green. Fastened it to an embellished piece of bead work, where I wired leaf beads, bone beads, a small bottle I filled with beads, and other trinkets.

Outfit-

Started with the boots. Stitched striped leggings for hind leg from pink/gray striped cotton material, stitched offwhite cobweb trim along the top.

Stitched pale brown boots with cross stitching for lace up details, lined with brown hemp cord stitched inplace.

Then I hand-stitched sheer purple scarf sleeves with teal cobweb trim over top.

Brown suede lace across the chest, brown bias tape lining the sides.

Neutral charcoal speckled faux leather layered at the tops of the sleeves with black and silver beads strung on floral wire in place. Chains and rhinestones to finish.

On other side of the sleeves I stitched a blue potion bottle in place with a golden unicorn charm.

Scarf- Stitched from a pink and purple tie-dyed scarf with the brown suede lace stitched over top with some burgundy cobweb trim.

Hat- cut out a nice triangle from thick black authentic leather then cut out a large circle for the brim, and cut out a hole in the middle.

Got out leather puncher and punched stitching holes along every edge I’d be stitched together. Then I stitched a nice stretchy black material with aqua glitter stripes on the pointed top portion, then black lace under the brim, then spider web lace material with glow in the dark webbing. Stitched the brim to the pointed portion, then stitchedvarious beads onto some thick trim, then stitched it around the hat.
