G4 influences - who in older gens influenced the recent gen of mlp

voice your opinions of who in all gens, G1 G2,( the toyline) and g3 influenced this recent generation
 
The mane 6 was taken from a mix of G1 and G3. Like Fluttershy is taken from Posey, Magic Butterfly, and Fluttershy. Rarity has G3,5 Rainbow Dash's personality and Rainbow Dash has G3 Rainbow Dash's colors but G1 Firefly personality. Pinkie Pie seems to be a psychotic hyped up version of G3 Pinkie Pie. I also have seen a few G3 ponies become G4 toys like G3 Rainbow Flash and G3 Water Fire. Lyra seems to be based off G3 Bee-Bop and Bon Bon is based from G1 Bon Bon. There seems to be quite a few background characters who are flashes from the past! :lolpony:

However I do wish they would have more toys or in the least references of the older generations. I just wish we could see Star Song or Ivy in the show. Even if they are silent background characters. I know there are a few G3 ponies that are now G4 toys but I'd like more. How cute would a G4 Gusty toy be? Or a G4 Port-O-Bella? They would look awesome! Plus I'm sure collectors would sntach them right up which means more money for Hasbro!

Yep and there is a G3 Bowtie who has multi-colored hair, but I prefer G1 bow-tie, I love her colors
 
Oh wow I never realized they had the same name. I love G3 Bowtie. I think her hair is so lovely. However I do prefer G1 Bow-Tie's sweet face.
 
I'll do anything for a custom of her, she is my fav pony out of all of them, she had pig-tails :lolpony:
 
Well aside from Applejack and the many flavors of Rainbowdash, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy, Rarity seems to have Sparkler's symbol but really Hasbro can only do so much after like what? 30 years of ponies.

I think the..."feel" if you will of FIM is very G1-ish. The fact that they became ponies again, instead of "little girls" as a Hasbro rep once said of G3 (yes, I'm ignoring EQG here). I like that they walk on 4 legs, and don't use their hooves as hands, and eat daisy sandwiches, and get harnessed to wagons and such. Also the variety of characters, which really wasn't there much in G3. In G1/G4 there are sarcastic ponies, ditzy ponies, gloomy ponies, extremely happy ponies (Pinkie), etc, etc.
