The finished digital painting of my nephew and niece, Alex and Diannah "D"!
This is a Christmas present for my little brother, Robin, who happens to be serving with the Marines over in Iraq currently. Though he talks to his wife and kids via Skype every day, he won't be able to be with them again face to face until sometime, I believe, in 2010.
He misses his kids like CRAZY, so I thought, as a Christmas present, I would do a painting of them for him. I WANTED to do a traditional medium painting, but there was no time to do it, if I wanted him to at least be able to see the piece on Christmas.
I've sent Robin the file of the painting via email, which he has been instructed to check tomorrow, and I will be making him a high quality satin finish print to mail out to him after the Christmas holiday.
Original sketch done in my sketch book in pencil and Copic multiliner.
Scanned, and painted in Open Canvas 3 and Photoshop CS3.
