Heartbroken

I am sorry about your fur baby I lost my baby 2 years ago. HUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s been a few days now and it’s still so sad and heartbreaking. It’s strange being home and not seeing or hearing him. I haven’t slept well at all without the sounds of my snoring pug (who’d of thunk I’d get so used to that).

I think something that has taken me by surprise and has kind of hurt the most, is how many people’s lives he touched. Zephyr and I were always together, at work, the store, the park - wherever life took me Zephyr was there. I’ve had a lot of people reach out and share their memories of him with me. Some I remember fondly others I’d forgotten or didn’t know. One that made me giggle was when he and a doctor’s dog stole our practice owner’s sandwich from his bag in his office and shared it together. Or when he and my cat would team up and eat loaves of bread together. We shared many Summer beach dates with my bff and she would always buy him an ice cream cone from Dairy Queen. If anything, Zephyr was very much a pug and always thought first with his stomach. :rolleyespony:

Having Clover here has helped immensely but things still feel pretty empty right now. My friends have been trying to keep my mind off of it but little things remind me of him and I still find myself shedding a tear daily for him.

It will get better but it will certainly take me quite some time with this one. Zephyr was a special dog, cliche or not, he was. I wish the world could’ve known him and loved him as I do.

Pugs are such awesome little dogs. We had one named Pugsley for about 14 years. Her little snorts were hilarious to me. People love them, they have such great personalities. Puggy would like to sit in front of the fan on hot days and fart. So it would blow right at us. Then she'd sit and laugh, her little tongue lolling to one side.

I still miss her and she's been gone a decade.

Sadly, I have this heartbreak coming for me again. My Pinky Lee is 18, and will be 19 come September. She's deaf and blind, but gets around okay. But eventually it will be her time. I hope she goes in her sleep, so I don't have to make a tough call. Regardless of how her end comes, I will be devastated when it happens.

Pugs are certainly a unique breed all their own. They are truely the clowns of the dog world. Omg!! I’m sorry she would fart in front of the fan. Pug farts are nasty stuff, sends shudders down my spine.

I picked up Zephyr’s paw print and my charm with a bit of his ashes in it today. Broke my heart to be handed a bag knowing these were in it.

(Didn’t help that the receptionist who was working was a complete -pardon me- cow to me about it. Made me provide proof that I paid for everything at my clinic - staff pet so we don’t pay right away - then she made me call my clinic and speak to manager there. Ugh so annoyed still about this whole transaction and it was totally uncalled for. I will be talking with the practice owner who still loves me about it. I used to work at this clinic and this girl didn’t like me because I didn’t believe in her lies...anyways I digress.)

It’s good to know I have him back home but I can’t bring myself to look at anything yet.

Nice of the cranky biscuit to make a bad situation worse. Let's hope Kharma bites her ugly backend. That just makes me mad, when someone goes out of their way to twist the knife a little more.

Let's hope she gets hers. Growl!

Wow. Could she NOT show a little freaking compassion? Or at least pretend? I'm sorry she was rude to you hun. Big hugs. Not your fault she chose to act like she came out of a donkey's rear end.

May a flock of birds fly over her car and drop an unpleasant gift on it all at once.

Wow. Someone was a witch. Karma don't forget her ok!

Thanks girls! Good to know I’m not the only one offended by the way I was treated. Yes, I do agree karma will one day come back. Although I’d hate to wish ill will on anyone.

Today my boyfriend and I went to pick out his new puppy! My best friend’s dog had a litter last week and my boyfriend has purchased one of the pups. I’m so excited for him to have his first dog (and “solo” pet). It’s like my boy is all grown up now. (^3^)

Here’s the “chosen one.” She’s the runt of the litter and she probably spent about 20 mins like this suckling his fingers.

Cute and roly and oh so very poly.

I really haven't had any words of wisdom or anything worthwhile to share over your heartbreak, but I just wanted to say that I am happy that you have been able to take time for yourself and breathe.

Any puppy (including older puppies! Can't forget the 7+ year-old pups!) is lucky to have a human like you~

@evilbunnyfoofoo - I’ve always wanted farm land so I could have a lot of dogs and a donkey. I really want a donkey.

@Leave a Whisper - You should see the other pups. They’re quite a bit larger than this one and so much more “round.” You just need to squish them they’re all so cute.

@Sweet Daes - Thank you. Simple words help too, I love all dogs. I just can’t help it, they’re amazing animals.
