Hello everyone!

The Trading Post has been in my browser favourites for over ten years, and now I've finally managed to register.

I already owned a decent MLP collection during childhood, having started collecting G1 in year two. Peachy was my first pony. :cc:

I still have almost all of my childhood ponies and about ten years ago, I bought a few G1 and G3 ponies on ebay. Last month, I've rekindled my MLP interest when I finally managed to put all my ponies back into their display cabinet again, after having moved into our own house over three years ago. :oops:

I'm mainly interested in G1 (and, to a lesser extent, in G3). My current goal is to collect all G1 and G3 ponies with a cat symbol. :)

Having a goal of collecting specific ponies is always a great way to complete a collection. I myself started as a focus mainly on Unicorn & Pegasus ponies. I also love that your zoning in on cat related girls. <3

Anyways, I look forward to seeing you around and getting to know you. :3
 
Thank you Skybreeze! Yes, I somehow prefer smaller, manageable goals. When the cat goal is achieved, I can think about another collection goal (not that I lack ideas, mind you). ;)

Also, have you heard of hqg1c? They have a pony in the g1 sitting pose named kitty love. She even comes in pearly.

Yes, I've heard of them, but I have to admit I only discovered them about a month ago. Kitty Love is adorable, in fact I'm desperately looking for the v2 turquoise Kitty Love that came with a cat companion. Sitting pose yellow Kitty love is also on my wish list, but she seems to be more readily available.
 
Thank you CJ! Not that many actually. I identified nine G1 ponies, if you include the HQG1C and count both versions as separate ponies, and just one G3:

G3 (on my wish list):
Pumpkin Tart

I'm not 100% sure I've found all of them though. :)

Thank you Leave a Whisper! Yes, I've come across that forum too! :) As the TP also seems quite busy and I didn't know if the same people are over here or not, I decided to sign up here as well. :) This forum here looks a bit more up-to-date technology-wise, it has very similar functions to the only other forum I visit on a daily basis (not MLP related), so it already feels somewhat familiar. Looking forward to explore all the boards and threads. :smile:
 
Welcome to the MLPTP! Glad you finally got around to joining ;) Looks like you got a nice collection there! Good luck on tracking down all the cat ponies! Now what about the MO Mommy and Baby pony, don't those have kitties on them? Now you got me trying to think of all the cat ponies LOL
 
Thanks for the warm welcome Gingerbread! Thanks, tracking down the three missing G1 ponies will not be easy I guess. I've just checked Mommy and Baby pony on MLW again, you're absolutely right of course, they don't seem to be Dutch ponies but MO. Thanks for pointing that out! I seem to have mixed up something, just the baby (Cat Pony) is Dutch. Oh well, mummy and baby are still very hard to find I guess. :oops:
 
Thank you cannibalcow! Yes, she's lovely, she was made by a very talented customs artist who I think isn't into MLP any more. I had also commissioned her to do a Baby Brother and Baby Sister Ice Crystal, they are both absolutely adorable. The Ice Crystal family members are the only customs in my collection and I treasure them :)
 
Welcome to the board! I lurked here for years myself, then finally jumped in and became active. Maybe a bit tooooo active!

I love your goal to buy all the cat related ponies. I've made it a habit of buying any with animal symbols, as I work with animals. And oddly, I'm thinking Peachy was my first pony as well! I admit I was a teen when then came out, so I'm the oldster on the board. :D
 
Thank you evilbunnyfoofoo! About ten years ago, I bought a few ponies with duck symbols, as I think they look super-cute, but I didn't systematically check if I got all the ducks. But as a cat lover (I'm staff to four furry monsters, all girls), I just had to check how many cat ponies there are and add the ones I don't own yet to my wish list.

Working with animals was always my wish too! But somehow I ended up in IT....I still love all animals of course, and I'm a member of several nature and animal protection charities.

Ah, good to know I'm not the oldest pony fan on the board, ha ha. :D
