Hey, everyone!
My name is Despina and I live in Athens. I grew up in the 80's and used to love my Little Ponies- they were my absolute favourite toys. Recently my parents sold my childhood home so I got my old ponies back. This is sort of how I ended up here as I was curious as to how to restore my ponies and also how to eventually sell some of them as they are apparently quite rare. Wish me luck in cleaning them first though!

Hello and welcome to our little corner of the world.

it’s always so nice to rediscover your old ponies and old memories you had with them. Be sure to post some before and after photos of your restorations! :)

Well ...

I think that "The Triffids" had quite a fan base in Greece during the 80's. It was maybe due to a
radio producer named Argiris Zilos, who aired songs from "Treeless Plain" in his radio show, "Apoixi",
in 1984, that many listen to them for the first time. At least I was ...
Listening to Alt-music in the mid 80's in Greece, deriving from a public radio station, was more or less
a "spiritual" even. This way "The Triffids" experience started.

The concert in "Rodon Club" was my chance to materialize the sounds I was hearing all these
years, my adolescence years. It was one day's trip to Athens and back for the concert with friends.
The band was a bit "cold" at startup, but as peopled yelled and begging for "Red Pony", they performed
good and definitely pleased us all, at the end of the day.

Along with good memories, I think I still have the poster of that event, and possibly a cassette tape with
really bad audio

I am very impressed by this! Weren't the Triffids the first band to play Rodon? I was a toddler at the time but made it to Rodon as a teenager in the late 90s. If you find the poster please take a pic!
