I've had my account for a little while, hiding in the shadows (not really!) but I wanted to pop in and give a proper introduction. I'm a near life-long pony collector that's only just getting back into collecting after losing my entire collection (except 6 ponies) in a 2022 house fire. I only collect G1, but I'm excited to expand my collection, as much I can fit into my tiny college apartment! My favorite ponies are the adult ponies (I actually don't like baby ponies all that much lol) and my grails are currently any Perfume Puff or Glow 'n Show ponies. Nice to meet you all!

Welcome! I'm a lifelong G1 collector as well, I still have quite a few of my childhood ponies and it's occasionally crossed my mind how awful it would be to have a house fire. I've said to my husband if it happens just get out, don't look for me cause I'm gonna be pitching ponies out the window until the firefighters drag me out!

What a terrible thing to go through but hopefully no one was hurt. Good luck on rebuilding your collection, you can feel the thrill of the hunt again

Thank y'all so much! My childhood ponies were actually G3 and later on, G4, funnily enough, but I started collecting around ages 9-10 and G1 ended up being my absolute favorite. I wasn't home at the time as I was at college (and no one was hurt) but I definitely would've been doing the same Gingerbread lol!

The ponies that survived were super baity ponies that I had taken to college with me in order to work on during the semester. They were Blue Belle, Applejack, Glory, Medley, Fizzy and Bright Eyes (who was in great condition but I just liked her a lot) and they’re all still with me today!
