Once again I was soaked for shipping for no reason I can see in the auction and the seller says its to cover paypal fees..there was no fee to pay her. and she packed it in a makeshift box with no packing material, the labels were cut out of notebook paper.
she charged me $3.95, I get the box and postage was $1.29 so thats 2.66 fee for nothing? GRRRR!!! I know thats nothing to P and M about but when you get a dozen sellers doing it. It makes me wanna throw the biggest BF! I'll take a few negs just to put my happy hoof down against it.
 
many sellers give priority quotes and ship first class anyway. I have a habit of asking anyone when the shipping is too high if they will ship first class in a bubble envelope instead. more often than not it's fixed, at least a little.
 
well i asked politely for refunding and thats what her reasons were,,mainly paypal fees..but there was no fee when I paid her from my account. I think all shes doing is covering her butt for listing fees by over charging shipping. I don't like it and I'll take negs for makin a stink too..I'm not afraid to take em.
 
She didn't mention a charge for whatever reason thats my point, if she gonna charge for her paypal or whatever then she needs to say so period, just DOING it doesn't make it right. almsot $3 for handling? she certainly didn't have to pay for the box she threw it in or the labels she cut from notebook paper.
 
the box she used was some hodged mess she put together so it costed her nothing. what stinks is squirts got a point, shes using higher shipping to cover her fees, its wrong and being a seller thats the downside, make your min bid higher to cover that cost then, thats not against the rules.
 
hmm I wasnt aware till now about the required CC thingy..I didn't know it was a hot topic myself. Otherwise Sellers should make it clear in the listing that a fee applies to paypal users period. if they pay via other ways then that fee should be taken off the charges, but to sneak it in there like that really chaps my butt to no end.
 
hmm weird, well alls I can say is that a seller needs to just state plain factly that a $2.00 or whatever handling fee applies to ALL transactions thru them. I dont like it being sneaked into the shipping prices..that makes me feel scammed or deceived.
 
on a another thought, I have noticed shipping prices going up magically..I'll see a pony quoted at $4.00 or more..now how in lands sake is that justified for a plastic toy? makes sense as to what their doing now. I haven't sold in awhile and I just a regualr paypal member so any payments I get have no charges from what I seen so far on my end.
 
Wow, I didn't know about the mandatory accepting cc payments for sellers. That's kind of lame. I don't like paying huge shipping fees myself, so that's why I usually just either buy a pony on occassion, or try and buy multiples from the same seller, because then they usually consolidate the shipping charge.
 
its just says standard flat shipping rate, it doesn't say anything about no handleing in it. her reason in the email was to cover her PP fees..like thats not MY problem her PP charges..isn't that part of being a seller?
 
I dont ask people to get me stuff much,on RARE instances do I ask people to get me ponies. I can think of TWO times I sought help..once was winter series II ponies and I met the person to pick up and we went in TRUS together. And recently I asked someone to get me all 12 birthday jewel ponies..thats all i ever asked of anyone. As for other stuff I bought off peeps here, I've not had a problem, I am currently buying from people from another forum for non MLP items, how it goes I don't know..we'll see I guess.

On a note for high shipping, take it from my postion which I'm sure you do. I've been scammed, lied to and oodles more by sellers like lots of other people that I feel nothing for them..I hate to be that way, but I don't throw my money away for nothing, YES if it wasn't for EHell I wouldn't have the ponies I have, I rarely see anything at rummage sales. Ehell fuels my 80's toy collections, MLP,Fashion Star Fillies, Fantasy Fillies,Keypers,ThunderCats,smurfs,She-ra and so on. But when sellers jack you for this and that again agian and again that adds up to alot of lost money in my pocket. when I pay $5.00 for shipping and the box comes and its says $1.50 that doesn't make me too happy. sometimes you dont get a response fast enough when you do ask about it, but that I guess is the chance one takes on scambay. I'm not personally attacking any specific member on the TP or ebay, I'm just saying in general I'm sick of it period and it turns me off to bid alot of times.
