Loved the classics cartoons in the 80’s. Had a few childhood ponies. Over the years, many flea markets and yard sales, my pony collection grew. My spouse and I mortgaged our first home ( a fixer upper ) and moved in. Yet sadly my collection was stuffed in a bin sitting in the basement.

Decided to try and sell them to the market, hoping for them all to find a lovely home, however I’m clueless of their value. Stumbled on this lovely website, signed up. Looking forward to getting to know you wonderful people, and much appreciated in your wisdom and guidance on making sure my ponies get a loving new home and I can get a modest amount, to further fund fixing up our home.

I‘m not good at description, but I will be taking photos as best I can. I look forward to getting to know you all and learning how to navigate this lovely community.

Welcome to the Trading Post! Thanks for trusting us to help out with your collection! We love to talk ponies so I'm sure we'll be glad to answer questions. I hope you won't miss your ponies if you sell them, but a home for you and your spouse is a worthy cause. :)

Thank You Kindly. Just took out my two bins and shuffling through what I have. Some of the ponies Have their accessories. Big Brothers, Princess Ponies, and some mail orders have accessories too. Plus there is the so soft, twinkle eyes, baby ponies and much much more. A fountain to go through.

Yes it’s going to be very sad to see them go. However it will give me peace of mind knowing they each find a loving home to go to. The funds will be pooled together and help with finishing renovations to our modest and humble little home.

First step organization, second photos, third making sure I get the names correct and figuring out a fair price to ask. Been a long time since I sent anything through the post office. Hopefully the shipping fees are not too crazy.

Maybe you could keep a few of your favorites? :)
If you share photos here, I know some of us enjoy playing Name that Pony, or if you'd like to do them yourself, a couple of good identification resources are Toy Sisters and Strawberry Reef!

Thank You Kindly. Will use what you provided to help me identify what I have. Hugs

I Plan to use my iPad to photo each pony with accessories. will take more photos if anyone shows interest in what I have. Hopefully we get nice weather and lovely natural sunlight for better photo taking. So far this quick photo of one of my bins.

This pony is just one of the many I have. She has original curls, the elastic band in her braid is original, along with brush ribbon and two hair clips. she is in natural beautiful condition.

Oh my, you have some enviable ponies in your collection! Some of these fetch prices that would definitely help with renovations funds, especially in such nice condition as you seem to have kept them! I see mail-order babies Sugarcake and Gametime, whom I would be delighted to own but they just tend to be too expensive for me to justify buying. You seem to have mail-order Mommy pony (often sold as Beachy Keen though she has no official name), and do I see her baby as well? And your second photo, as @Twinkle-eye said, is Rapunzel, who still seems to be a "holy grail" for a lot of collectors. I'm excited to ooh and ahh over more of your collection so I hope you'll post more photos soon!

Usually the easiest way to research what ponies have sold for recently is to search for a pony on ebay and check the Sold filter option. Bear in mind it won't show the prices of accepted Best Offers which would usually be lower than the listed price. It'll also show duplicates if they were relisted after a sale fell through.
Also, take a look at current listings to see if many of that pony are for sale. Lots of listings means people are willing to wait for a better price than what's there. Few or none means you probably have a rare one (or there could be a typo). There are a few sellers I've noticed who list their ponies as if they aren't really that interested in parting with them unless they get a king's ransom, so those listings may skew the perception of value when people look up what a pony is worth and don't consider if ponies have been sitting unsold for ages.

(If you'll pardon me going on a little thought-tangent, this has interested me in what drives desirability of a particular pony. Aside from visual appeal, it really seems to be the perception of rarity, rather than actual rarity. I looked up how many times Rapunzel has sold on eBay, to get an impression of how often she appears on the market. She has sold 4 times there this year, but she has fetched at least twice as much as Mail-order Sweet Scoops, or Mommy Pony, who each have only been sold twice! Value is whimsical.. Ok back to topic!)

The forum has lots of good guides for selling ponies, and there's a feedback system to help you feel more confident if you decide to sell any ponies directly to folks here.

I hope you'll enjoy going through your bins and remembering your ponies.. From my recent personal experience, one can definitely wind up feeling attached to them all over again. ;) Pony hugs!
