Hello everyone. I am 30 years old and I have been a fan since I was little. I remember my ponies being my favorite toys and I was always watching them. I wish I still had those toys but I grew up in a house where if you put down a toy for too long it was given away or sold :( But now that I am an adult I am collecting G1. I also love to watch Friendship with Magic with my son and daughter. My husband and I love spending our free time toy hunting at thrift stores. I have gotten lucky a few times finding ponies new and old. :) I hope to make lots of new pony friends.
 
Hi Queeny I am in Houston also. It is so nice to meet you. I love G1 ponies. It is fun to thrift shop. Now I know someone else in town that scouts the city for ponies. I don't find very many G1 ponies, but I have found a handful. Hey there is a wonderful thrift store in Pasadena if you have never been there ya gotta go. I have not found a lot of ponies there, but its great if you love other toys. Alamo I think is the name of it. I am not positive. Its on Spencer Hwy. Check it out sometime. Its far but cool place.

Welcome to the TP! I'm a G1 lover too, it seems like it's getting harder and harder to find them at thrift and yard sales nowadays. I guess most people have cleaned out their attics and basements out in the past 20 years. I always get ridiculously excited when I find a G1 somewhere, even if it's a manky old Cotton Candy!

By the way, I think it's great that your family is so supportive and you're able to share your love of ponies with your kids!
