Hey everypony I was wondering how you feel when you have something rare in your collection not just mylittlepony I have quite a few rare things in my collection I get really excited when I find out something is rare and it makes me really happy I feel like just putting it into a glass display and show it to everyone my family jokes that i should sell it does it make you happy when you have something rare or does it make you feel greedy or Selfish just wondering if you like you can post some rare stuff

  1. I got a argentine minty from a dear friend and she make me feel top of the world. Unless I am dieing and need money for surgery I would not sell her. I want to show her and my other minty off some day but iono care what my family say I would not sale her for anything. She wonderful but darn it don't cry for me argentina pop in my head she stole a pony hat and named her self Eva

I also feel like I should put my rarest ponies my locked glass case but I gotta fix a bracket on it or I wont be able to :/ I doubt I would want to sell off all of my ponies but I would start with the more current ones before I would ever touch the other G1 stuff that stuff are like old friends.. You dont sell old friends.

I have a few merchandise items that I think are pretty rare and some ponies as well. I do get excited over them and I usually am quick to point them out to friends and family who come over but they never quite appreciate it to it's fullest extent LOL I guess that's why I need my pony friends here, we can all ohhh and ahhh over each others treasures!

I got super excited over my rare or even uncommon ponies and my daughter has some beanie boos that are rare. I unfortunately, had to sell everything and only still have my most precious ones. A couple flutter ponies with replacement wings, purple Valentine baby, my super long hair g3's, and my customs. I do have a dark horse custom, but she's the only one left that I could consider rare.

I'll be adding Moon Jumper to my collection soon so that's pretty rad. I also have a little trilobite fossil and it makes me happy. I was pretty excited when I found it, since it's not something you see everyday. It not only looks cool but since it doesn't take up a lot of room on the rock, I can use the unoccupied space to file my nails.

Rare doesn't mean that much to me, unless I'm in love with that pony. In fact, I could care less about many of the ponies who are rare. Rapunzel is a good example. I mean, she's nice and I would love to have her, but not a priority and there are many, many other ponies I find more desirable. I like certain colour combinations, styles and poses and they are often not the rare ponies. Sometimes they are. I would be excited to find a rare pony for cheap, but that's just the thrill of the hunt. Or, a double of rare pony I could sell to get more ponies. I'm almost just as excited to find a mangled Peachy with marker and a child inspired hair cut.

I have quite a few rare ponies in my G1 collection, but mostly I just feel lucky I bought them 15-20 years ago when prices were reasonable. I think people are crazy spending hundreds of dollars on a pony, but hey, if you love it and want it and that's the price you have to pay, all the power to the ponies. Who knows, when I only have a few rare ponies left to acquire, I may go crazy and fork out the cash for them too :)

If I find out something is rare, I weight its monetary value vs personal value. If it's not worth the $40 to me, for example, I'll sell it. If it's a rare keeper, it's a guilty pleasure to keep it around and on display .

My ponies are precious to me based more on the person who gave them to me rather than their commercial value. I only have one shelf of ponies being displayed right now, and many are downright baity. Doesn't matter. I'm fair more enamored by gifts and well loved baits I might come upon than I am rare ponies. It's just how I am.

Don't get me wrong, if I find something rare, I certainly do get a thrill, but really no one here cares but me (Action Hank will say 'yay' but he's a stoic fellow, that's as good as it gets. LOL). I have to call my sister Amy who will gush over any 'good find' as she's a thrifting hound like myself.

I’m obsessed with thrifting and in the summer months, garage sales are my jam. I want to stay in the US for a thrifting weekend and go to a Goodwill outlet and get in on some awesome finds. Or even markets, we don’t have a lot of that sort of stuff here - it’s mostly just farmers markets (which I also love).

Sure, I'll take a picture when I have a chance. Found it around school where there are a ton of rocks. I saw it and was like !!! Fossil!!

YAYS!! I love seeing people's cool fossil finds!

I was going to be a paleontologist, then decided for psychology. What a dumb move on my part.

I wanted to be a paleontologist for a while, too, and then I decided to be a copy editor. Now newspapers are dead, and I'm kicking myself :(

As for finding something rare, I think it's a great thing. I bought an overseas lot of ponies once and among it was a Greek Blossom. My initial thought was to sell her, but to this day I still have her. I bought the lot probably 5 or 6 years ago. Since I don't usually have that kind of luck, I tend to hold onto it when I do.

I think they're fun to find, especially for a bargain. I guess the rarest thing I have is a Venezuelan SB Tootsie. She's not my most prized piece, but I love to put her on display.

Ah! How cool! Fossilized mermaid! What fun to find right in the front yard! I used to live in place we'd find little shark teeth all over the place, but sadly I lost the tiny box I kept them in.

That or toothless sharks stole it. Which I understand. They need nommers for their mouth holes.

Idk I might have a silver dollar somewhere lol

As far as ponies, I still have my childhood collection

And I have 2 Gusties and I think at one point found out one of them might be rare so I tossed them back into my cedar chest and forgot about them

I wish I had something rare so that I could tell you. XD
