It’s finally happened to me. I am running out of space to fully display my pretties.

I have a small-ish room that I don’t have a lot of “spare” floor space. So I’ve utilized my walls to display ponies as best I can. I currently have photo ledges from Ikea that work great but my G1 ponies don’t fit so great.

So, I wonder - how do you guys display your G1 ponies? I need better ideas for my G1 gals as I am expanding my G1 collection. (And also my G4 but they fit much nicer on my ledges.) I am currently deciding on taking some artwork down but I love my art pieces too. Ugh.

If it needs to be wall space that you’re utilizing, IKEA also has some great wall shelves that, with risers as well, you could get two or three rows of G1s on.

If you’ve got room for a bookshelf, I can’t recommend the IKEA Billy system enough. My whole pony room is done in Billy, and you can fit a crazy amount of ponies on those. Again, risers are your friends.

I can be of no assistance. My Pony live in tubs in a dark closet. They're pretty much Morlocks. One day, they'll rebel and that'll be the end of ol' foof.

Can we see pics of your room? Maybe we could make suggestions based off what we see!

I just have some shelves (nothing fancy). I do see a lot of people recommending Billy things from Ikea, though. Risers also help!

I made use of our old media shelves (the ones that hold CD/DVD's). They're more narrow than your standard book shelf so they take up less floor space. What I like best about them is that you can adjust the shelf sizes easily. Great depth for an adult G1 to sit plus a baby in front.

Before I packed all mine away in crates I had them on bookshelves... though I don't recommend that if you want them all to be visible (not to mention mine were pretty deep which is unhelpful if you're low on floor space). You can fit multiple rows of ponies, but the back ones will feel invisible and neglected :p Risers are definitely your best friend!

Floating shelves are good. I think I remember someone hanging flutters/wingers/breezies with wires from the ceiling. And didn't someone have an unfilled fish tank for their sea ponies?

I also was wondering this too since I finally have a room. The billy cases must be great but I think I may go with more perminate shelfs on top for other pony things. I also finally got my room color picked out :)

Sooooo a little embarrassing but this is my small and cluttered room.

I’m thinking about getting 5 more of the long picture ledges to do another long row and take the two current ones to the other wall. Also thinking about getting a few small ones and maybe putting them on the wall beside my tv and taking away the white shelf that currently holds my large plush & Twilight.

Then I was thinking about getting my bf to mount my tv on to the wall so I can better display my bigger and boxed ponies.

Also thinking that I should probably start taking some of my brush ales out of boxes to make more space. :,(

I think it looks great! I love the wall colour too, it's so lively. I hate white walls... I mean if other people like em, great! But in my house... all colourful walls!

You have a really nice collection, you must be so proud!

I’m not a fan of white walls either. But I do want to change the colour of my walls.

Thanks! It’s honestly not even half of it. Most of my G4 stuff is in boxes on my shelves and my G1 girls are hanging around in my nursery and in some storage totes. I love having them on display and being able to look at them all the time. Lol
