They need pre-approval from my insurance, so it could take two business weeks to get it scheduled. Doesn't really make sense to me... that they would require the approval for something that's time sensitive.

Yea it makes sense the insurance companies don't want you to have the actual tests that lead to wellness they would also prefer you not cost them any money either. They are in control like Big Brother.
 
So.... Wesley's bum burst again, while still on antibiotics. He's scheduled for a $1000 surgery next Friday, the 16th. Between that, and my lovely neck I may be away a while. I don't have more ponies to sell, so I'll just have to pick away at this debt. No more swaps. No teasing myself by looking. Plus a dog bum to care for. I'm looking at thyroid nodule surgery if not a total thyroidectomy. That's one month of almost no activity and severe eating difficulties. Two months before I get to return to regular activity. Then we'll see what comes from seeing my new shoulder doctor.
 
I'm so sorry to hear you're having so many difficulties, tak. Please keep us in the loop as much as possible. I know it can be hard when you're feeling bad (as I am always coming and going due to my own mental failings. sigh and lol at the same time!) Is there anything we can do to help?

Everyone on here is amazing and supportive. You help just by making me feel a little less alone. I did send out my vet's phone number to service dog and schipperke groups so they can send any help directly to the vet. I don't feel it's appropriate to post something like that on here. Anyone can pm me if they want that information, though.
