This is awesome!!! I wonder if they’ve changed the moulds at all. The Jem dolls always felt a little off to me because of how square her face was. But I’ve always loved how big they were and the accessories.

It would be awesome to have a Lady LovelyLocks reissue too. I’ve been re-watching the series and it was kind of ahead of its time for the whole girl power kind of role models in kids animation. I also still love RavenWaves, she’s always been my favourite and looking at her now I think it’s because of the voice acting. <3

The quality will depend on who's making them.

Integrity Toys is making them. They're for collectors with deep pockets. Gimme a minute and I'll show you their original Jem line.

These came out in 2012 the first time. The cheapest was $100. Too much for meh.

I remember the originals, though my parents never would get me one. I adored the show. These are pretty epic.
Why? What was their objection?

Lack of money. I had ballet classes and a real live pony, I'm not complaining. They just had to live within their means. I'm sure I got more out of the pony than I ever could have gotten out of any toy. Even mlp!

Oh, I did. All the time. We were a family with three kids and one income. My mom is a financial wizard (something I most definitely am not). Horses and ballet at a professional level, plus oil painting lessons, private swimming lessons, camping all over the west coast, and we were all home schooled via a private school in baltimore. It all was quite costly. We never had much in the way of toys or gadgets, but we had everything we needed.

My christmas lists were essentially the entire sears toy catalog, plus all the other catalogs, too. I was awful.

You're post actually had me laughing!!! :D It sounds like you had a blessed childhood that would make basically anyone jealous!

Yeah, I have no complaints. Seriously, what a dream getting a pony. She was pregnant, too. :ponylove:

Wow! Did you get to keep her Pony's too?
My parent's had to sell her foal, a colt, but i got to see him being born.

I rather think we've hijacked this thread, so we should probably get it back on the topic of those jem dolls. My daughter didn't like the show! So sad!

I always wanted a jem doll too but my mom was like you have enough barbies. I tried to explain she was not a Barbie but nope she was a Barbie in my moms eyes. Strange I kept getting barbies and barbies stuff. Even though I had so much but could not get jem.
