Cam back from Japan on August 3rd. My friend finally gave me the DVD wit the pics on it. Some of her pictures were so bad >.< she need sto learn how to take pictures....Here are some of the better shots I could get of Kimono. Most are from her adventure going up Yamadera.

Yes, they sell MLP in a few stores. Let's put it this way - I went to every toy store I could in 6 major cities and only saw them near Harajuku on the last day of the trip. Care Bears are everywhere, but ponies are scarce!! I don't know why.

Anyway, all the packing is in English, and they're a little behind...when I was over there in July they only had early BI ponies. If they'd been in Japanese, I'd have snapped 'em up in an instant, but since they were American and overpriced...eeh...I passed.

By the way, Eighties_Otaku - which region(s) did you visit?

Wow, you actually found a MLP setup in a store! I looked all over when I was in Japan.. I found a few of the phone straps and a couple imported things here and there, but no recognition. Is it possible to blow up that pic? I'm trying to read it, but it's too small. I can only read that first line

Yeah sadly no Japanese boxes Yeah the new Care Bears were all over the place 0_o. I was like >.< I only collect vintage ones. I did find some vinatge sticker cards in Harajuku 20 packs and the box bought them all. The box was from USA/Canada lol....

I tried finding the Takara Pony but didn't get to enough variety of old toy stores. Next time....

My brain is fried but I can list the cities and places. We had a rail pass so we could use any JR system (except Nozomi and green car).

Tokyo, Yokohama, Kyoto, Sendai, Nagoya, Osaka, Nagasaki and a few other small towns.

Yeah Harajuku and stores that have vinatgeish clothing and stuff I saw some stuff in a store in Nagasaki City too. It was like merchandise rather than the toys.

You're pictures are awesome! I love seeing pictures of people bringing their mlps around the world. I did that this summer when I brought my Skyflier to Scotland. ^_^ I think it would be awesome to go to Japan someday, Japan looks so beautiful. Did you go for school or just for fun?

Rawr! I'm so jealous of you, man! I went to Japan this January and I searched and searched, and didn't find any sign of any G3's at all! I only saw one G1, a Brush n' Grow in terrible (almost bait!) condition... they were selling her at a vintage store for the equivalent of $40!! Man, I wish I had brought my G1 doubles to sell!

I had my Rainbow Dash plushie with me at all times. The other students in the group thought I was kind of strange...
