I recieved this as part of a trade this morning. I dont normally post here, but I am so amazed by it, I wanted to share.

Unfortunately it got a few dents during shipping, but still I love this to pieces, and I am very delighted with it.

Another side by the clasp and handle. You cant see it, but underneath the handle is the G1 MLP logo.

Bottom. You cant really see it, but around the sides (inside this is), there is g1 artwork around it.

I didnt realise there was Peachy on it until now (I had seen pics before), and I am simply amazed by it. :)
 
oh wow! thats really cute, ive enevr ssen one before, is it like a lunch pail?
 
Yeppers, it's a lunch box. There is also a small trash can and smaller trinket type box that goes with it :-D. I found those a few yrs ago in a... um, not sure what kind of store, but they have various vintage new stuff. Meaning the tin, lunchbox, and trash can are new, but in the old pony style :). I love all of them and had to buy them immediatly!

That is lovely. I have always loved the ponypictures from that era... they are always so beautiful no matter what they're on.

I'd say you did great in that trade ;) I would love to have that lunchbox.
 
That is gorgeous! I've never been so sure about those G1 reproduction things, but looking at those pictures, I may need one myself now!!

Thanks everyone for your kind words.

I have no idea what I am going to store in it though, I have too many accessories (they take 2 g3 rucksacks) and it's too nice to use it as a lunchbox.

I have it on top of my jewellery box, so it's out on display. Unfortunately I dont have any room on my pony shelves otherwise I would shove it there.
 
Kinda OT, but can anyone link me to some large high quality scans of the G! pamphlets that this art comes from? It's always been one of my favorite pieces and I accidently deleted them in the last great hard drive purge. :(

I have that! Hey look, I'm inside it, lol. In mine, I keep stickers and postage stamps. The artwork on it is really beautiful, isn't it? I love it.

*edit to add* I got mine last year or longer ago at Burlington Coat Factory
 
Its so pretty :D If you gently bang out that dents I bet you can get rid of them :D

Well there was a big dent when I first got it on the lid, and that got gently hammered out. It's much better as you can see (these are the after pics).

The others are so minor (in comparsion), I think it would probably make them worse and I am afraid of ruining it further too, so I will have to live with it.

Wow that's lovely :D I have seen that at a comic store over here, but I never knew it had Sherbet inside! I'm going to have to go see if they still have it now :p

Yeah she's the pony in the show stable in the back.
 
Congrats! I want that lunchbox really bad! The pictures on it are my favorite. I love mlp stuff with pics like that. :D
