I was going through my MLP trading cards and noticed that the Nightmare Night G7 box topper card has two version for no inexplicable reason. One is blue tinted and the other is purple tinted. See attached photo. Is this a variant or just a fluke?

Hi, I'm not sure about variations in the trading cards.

I've tried to move your post to the General Discussion forum, since you will probably get more replies there, but for some reason I can't get that function to work. This sub-forum geared toward pony toys (specifically different ponies produced in small countries/regions around the world), rather than merchandise. :eek:k:

I knew it was a long shot, but strictly speaking it is a variant of sorts. LOL I just wonder why Enterplay made two version of the card. I think one is a misprint.

The question is , which one?

I see two possibilities for why the cards are differently colored. Depending on when or where you got the cards, the brighter blue one is most likely a second edition from the newest printing. Second edition cards are more saturated, and if you turn them over the text would be bolder on that card than on the other (if it is a second edition). Otherwise it may just be a printing error. I have quite a few cards that have their holographic layer showing through the sides ^^;

blue

the one that i have is blue but it does have a purple glow when tilted
