Hotel and ticket info added!
Guest, The MLPTP's Fundraiser and Prize Giveaway will be returning on June 1st! Check out this thread for all the latest news!
My advice is to shop around. This is your very first con ever; that can be overwhelming - ponies EVERYWHERE! Odds are that anything you want will be available from multiple sellers. But if it's something you absolutely must have, snap it up and don't let it get away! Prices are generally fair and true to current online market prices, but you don't have the added cost of shipping. And don't be afraid to haggle a bit. Most of the vendors are easy to work with. Take your Fluttershy. A lot of people have a "travel pony." Definitely do the panels or games that you want to do - they're super fun and informative! Have fun!I am making definite plans to go!! I am so excited, it will be my first con of anything fandom-y, not just ponies.
Seriously considering briging my Fluttershy plush, just for the lulz. May just do the first day, but the second day sounds more fun (the FIM writer being there Sunday is really getting to be a monkey on my back, but Saturday sounds more doable for us, unfortunately.)
I keep telling myself I will come home with a limited amount of ponies, but who knows? Are prices generally very high at pony con, like eBay? Or are they more like the 10-50 dollar range? I've been after Tex for forever, but not if he's over $25!!
Thanks!!
Edit: Hope everyone that can't make this years can maybe make next years. Always hope!
Edit: Got all tix/reservations needed (Con, transport, hotel). Hooraaaayyyy!! Hopefully if there's a next time, I can do the full 2 days. But, hey, the way we're traveling, Monday traffic doesn't seem ideal.
