Last night saw G1 ponies get evaluated on The Antiques Roadshow

I decided to make a thread to move the discussion from the shout box.
On one hand, this is so nice to see and I love seeing other collections but on the other, it means this can bump up prices when trying to collect.
Whilst watching, the camera focused on Dutch Diary and spoke about her being Princess Sapphire (in front) who was said to be sold for a huge sum lately.

Giant Peachy was always hard to come by I just hope this doesn’t make it even harder…

It would have been great if this scene also helped celebrate the 40 (or just a little over over) years of the ponies
 
At the end of recent shows they've shown items at home and I was disappointed not to see the rest of the owner's collection at home.

I thought they'd go more into variants and maybe the Mountain Boys being a UK special.

It was good of the expert to tell us he hated MLP as a kid(!). Nice having MLP on the show though.

I’ve noticed too, the end of shows part. I thought they’d talk more about variants as well. My dad is a keen viewer and spotted them on the show and called me in to see. Sometimes I watch, sometimes I miss it but he never misses an episode. When I do watch I usually hope to see more toys
 
Ugh…. I have to share my horror story… I had the giant Peachy….. but I was a FOOL and had her on a high shelf…one day, she fell off, and when she hit the laminate floor she literally shattered into a million pieces. I was just frozen in shock for a minute before it hit me. A giant Peachy (MY giant Peachy) gone forever. I was devestated. I still get sad when I look up at that spot on the shelf

Oh no. I’m so sorry to hear that :cry:
I can just imagine the sound of the shattering… rest in pieces, Giant Peachy
 
That is the most nightmarish thing I have ever heard :eek:
