My Little Pony RPGs

Hi!

I was a member of the TP before it moved and am now finally returning. :D I joined months ago but what with college I've been busy.

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone here likes to role play? I know a lot of you like to write stories about MLPs but what about taking on the role of a character and/or creating your own?!

If so, you might like this game I've been with for a while now. I really enjoy it and I'd especially love some people to come play G2s and G3s.

G1s have special rules and the game isn't recomended for anyone under the age of 13 due to some adult content (mild swearing, and suggestive content)

End of the Dream

:(

I'm part of the BAF Lounge on Kingsley's Board, but we've mostly resorted to AIM conversations/chats now. ^_^ It's really tightly knit, but extremely intricate at the same time. I have...*thinks*...seven main (alive) characters, not counting minors.

It's a script-style thing, too. We've created our own little realm, I guess. ^_^ Dream Valley, The Friendship Gardens and Ponyville all live in harmony, along with the places from MLPnF (like Bumbleland and Flutter Valley and Grundleland) and made-up places like Northwood, Yoru, Thorn and some other Dragonish kingdoms.

Grundleland has been desmoozed, though. XD Now it's the badlands. Fakie slaves sold, bootleg rainbowberry juice and bumbleberries, SS pelts, bushwoolie coats, ground unicorn horn, prostitution, homocide and loads of stolen jewelry. There are about 30-40 grundles now. It's a bit in the future, the baby ponies are in their late teens and the newborns are about eight.

Funny that this all spawned from a PG-rated board. Oo I'd have to say it's PG-13 now. XD Geez.

Dream Castle is the reigning castle, Majesty is the Queen of Ponyland. Queen Sunsparkle rules the Gardens and the G3s are a democracy. Dream Castle raids Grundleland occasionally and generally keeps things up. Reeka and Draggle still reside in the volcano, but Hydia is dead. They don't do much. XD

Dragons are currently at peace with the ponies, though there have been wars and there are still rebel groups running around. Maybe they'll start a war up soon. Hmm. Demons and vampires are also infamous in Ponyland. Demons being advanced, I suppose even evolved, forms of dragons and are not to be reckoned with. Vampires are a new species created by a strange twist of darkness. They can be killed off traditionally, stake through the heart, wild roses, garlic, silver, the rainbow locket.

My characters are generally G1. Rose is a BNG Princess alicorn, whose kingdom, Thorn, was destroyed during the last dragon war. She was sealed in a magic orb for a few hundred years and grew up in the Lullabye Nursery as an orphan, she was never adopted, but was great friends with Baby Moondancer and Baby Crumpet, whom she lives with. Rose is currently 20 and is living in a house the Nursery gave her.

Baby Crumpet doesn't get along with Crumpet at all, her father Sunburst is dead. She has cut her hair short and spikey and is living with Rose. She loves candy, photography and likes to babysit Baby Swirly. Baby Moondancer's parents (Moondancer, of course, and Thundercloud) are still alive and well, but she lives with Rose to "keep her out of trouble." That was her original idea. So far it isn't working, Rose is a ditz. BM does in fact remember her skirmish with Catrina and has a fear of pits and falling. She loves, bushwoolies, though. She collects china bushwoolies.

Adrejan is my half-dragon character. His story is rather long, most of my stories in this are really long and winding, which is why I'm summarizing this briefly. XD He lives in the Dark Forest. Not Shadow Forest, the Dark Forest. A made-up place.

Raven and Jester are Rose's siblings. Raven was sealed in an orb as well, Jester gave into the darkness that was consuming their kingdom. Raven's an antisocial who lives in her father's ruined kingdom (Durgahn). She grew up with dragons. She's pretty cranky and despises her brother. Her life's pretty much fallen apart, since her father wanted her on the throne and now there is no throne to look forward to. XD;

Jester's probably the character I am most proud of. His story is also long and winding. He's a "joke of all trades" you could say. XD An assasian, a thief, a pretty much anything. He's a darkness-addict. He occasionally dwells in the Realm of Darkness (see The Return of Tambelon) and Dream Castle is currently seeking him for a variety of reasons, one of which attempting to murder Majesty in her bedchamber 200 years ago. He's been hunted by Akari Hoshi, a first-class castle unicorn guard for centuries. (Jester's...435, I guess it is, years old.)

Akari Hoshi's an obsessive freak. Sometimes I wonder if he's gay, then I decide he's not and then I wonder again. XD His backstory I haven't quite worked out yet. I have discovered, though, that his character is nearly exactly like that of Javert's from Les Miserables. Entirely coincidential. Creepily so. O___o

So Dream Valley is pretty much the main pony-dwelling area, Ponyville a close second. Dream Valley is quaint, Ponyville is bustling with new pink technology (cell phones, whoo hoo) and the Gardens are very laid back and...flowery. With the Butterfly, who floats around and says things like, "YOU have to move your pony out of the WAY..."

Magic in Ponyland is quite dominate. There are restrictions set by the castles, of course, and barrier-magic, but these are usually broken. X3 Tracking spells are entirely legal, but barriers can be set up to block these as well. Entering the human world is entirely taboo. Humans are looked down upon by most.

Also, anthro form is a completely common thing. Ponies "pop" from form to form. This isn't like shapeshifting, though, shapeshifters are entirely different.

Ponies have their own slang, too. XD Which is tons of fun. "That smoozing son a grundle, who does he think he is?!" "60 degrees my symbol!" "Rainbow of LIGHT!" "Ponyfeathers!" "Darkness!" "Oh for Majesty's sake." "Rainbows, Sparkleworks!" "Smooze it." "Majesty, Queen of Ponyland!"

We also stretch winking limits. Ponies can wink across Ponyland and also through walls and things. This is ridiculous, I know, but it's really neccesary to keep things moving.

Another interesting thing is that winking is a lot like Nightcrawler's teleportation in X-Men. Unicorns wink into the Realm of Darkness for a very split second until reaching their destination. Like a wormhole, I guess. Also, if you try to wink into the wishing well in Ponyville, the barrier bounces you off and hurls you into the Realm of Darkness. The Realms (of Light and Darkness) are EXTREMELY dangerous and should never be entered. But, of course, they are. Just look at Jester. >__>

So yeah. That's the lounge, but mostly AIM convos now. The AIM convos are really the PG-13 bit, since Kingsley's Board must stay PG. This sure turned out longer than expected.

Link to Kingsley's:

And, as paranoid as I am, I must insist that idea/character theft is highly looked down upon. ^_^

Just a note: The lounge is really difficult to get into. o_O Since things are so advanced and tightly-knit (everyone there is my bestestest friend, we send each other christmas gifts and everything...), it's hard for new people to get in on the action.

Especially since we've mostly resorted to AIM. We have problems keeping in touch with EACH OTHER, never mind a new person, but if you're really motivated and have interesting ideas/characters that could contribute to plotlines, that's different. ^_^

Wow your games sounds fun too,Rose! I'll take a look at your probard ^_~

Also, Gustyfox, we have couple out of country (non USA) members at EoD. So I think it would be fine to come take a peak and join. We're really friendly there. :D

Anyone else? What about other RPGs? I'm also in a Harry Potter one that needs some PPL to join-in!

Harry Potter RPG

^-^ Yup, noticed you joined!

The HP RPG sounds interesting, but I've never really been involved in an RPG with that sort of system, nor do I have the time. ;~; Ohpoowellthen.

Yeah *blushes* 'Drom, I couldn't help myself. I would really like to see some new members at EoD!

Yes I am a bit selfish so what??? :p hee hee

the HP RPG really isn't al lthat complicated, just the review is. I easily got a character. I play Neville. :D

Ponies have their own slang, too. XD Which is tons of fun. "That smoozing son a grundle, who does he think he is?!" "60 degrees my symbol!" "Rainbow of LIGHT!" "Ponyfeathers!" "Darkness!" "Oh for Majesty's sake." "Rainbows, Sparkleworks!" "Smooze it." "Majesty, Queen of Ponyland!"

xD Our pony slang is a bit different. Since Mimic is a religious figure (go figure xD) we have things preying to Mimic and all. xP BTW I'm from MLP: EoD too along with DragonBlossom and Andromeda Starshine. I play my love, Gimik, although sometimes I do wish I could play some of my favorite G1s. I want to make my own board, because CM's is so freakin' awesome. ^__^ A G1 land with a darkplot AND the G1s would be awesome for me :p Although I would try to steal all my favorite boys :O I so would have Tex and Torando and Sunburst :p And Barnacle. I can't forget Barnacle! I so would too, but I don't know if anyone would join me. o_O

Goodness, MLPs are the only thing I rp these days. I used to RP wolves and such and Neopets, but not anymore. Nothing outside of a private RP I do with a friend. xP I don't like RPing humans though. I'm strange like that!

Ah, sounds fun! Mimic a religeous figure? o_O XD Strange! Our universe doesn't have that sort of thing, really. ^^;

How strange, I was just thinking about MLP RPGs, I was hoping Hasbro might team up with either Nintendo for a Pokemon kinda game or Black Isle for a Baldur's Gate kind of thing. That would be cool but I'll give this a look over while I dream!

lol That would be awesome. MLP games for the PS. <3 If I could play that, I'd be in love :p

Eh-eh. Think of the G3 computer game, that was so crappy. A game for a gaming platform would be worse. A thousand times worse. XD

Ya, but wouldn't it be AWESOME if we could make our OWN kinda MLP game? Kinda dark like D&D too. :p I would so love a game like that. ROFL

i know im a bit late in the convo but...
i play D&D well i used to now i dont play much anymore coz all my mates lost interest

sigh

but i would join in if someone was running and RPG somewhere
so you maysee me joining up to your RPGs :D

I've never played D&D, but I want to eventually. ^-^ I bet I could figure out how to make my OWN, though, y'know? It's not like it can't be done. It can't be terribly difficult, either, there are a lot of RPGs like that on the market now.

But I really have no idea what I am talking about here. >___>

I'm perfectly content with online text RPG. Mine is in script style, actually. I plan on writing a fic on my character's complete backstories, eventually...I really hope I get around to it. I have a feeling I'm going to end up writing it scene by scene and squishing them all together with spit. <__<

Teh. XD

Yeah, I was terribly dissapointed in the MLP computer game. :( Not that I really bought ofr anything other than the collectable G3 baby! lol

But I don't even think young kids between 3-6 would find it fun after 5 mins.! Geeze...why can't they take something like MLP or Pern (the Pern game sucked too) and create something good?? I hate click and point games. Add some challenge please!!lol

I think the computer game isn't very good either, but then my 3 year old loves it and I guess it is aimed at the younger kids. I'd love there to be a proper online RPG, or even one like kingdomofloathing where it's more than a basic choose your own adventure which is what I'm toying with on my site. If I know how to program that sort of thing I'd give it a go but I wouldn't know where to start.
