Need G3 info help!!

Hi, friends! It's been years since I've been on here but I need some quick info and Google is failing me.

So several years back there was a situation in which large G3 blank statues were made and sent to artists who decorated them. I can't recall if this was for a comicon or some type of promo or fundraiser or whatnot.

Does anyone recall? Can you link me or provide pictures?
 
It was called the My Little Pony Project, and there were a couple of waves done, for different events. If you Google that you should find some images.
