I love the cards, too.

Slightly disappointed (or very disappointed) that it's just the same ponies, though. I want new ponies!
 
I have no idea why Hasbro doesn't include new cast members to the main 6. Both for marketing and tv it would be a success.
 
Cool. I am glad that I am not the only one to think that way but I don't have Ploomette so she would probably be the only one of this set that I will get

Totally agreed. They'd have to make sure to make the new character(s) interesting and not intrusive, which would be tough, "don't fix what's not broken" and all that. But it's nothing that can't be done, and FiM does have a very competent team of writers to pull it off reasonably well.

In fact, I'm still half expecting Emerald Ray from the Pony Rainbow Collection to show up as a sort of secondary main character. Nevermind the fact that the thing was a Target exclusive, thus diminishing the number of people who would know him at this point, but I do find it funny that they released a set with just the Mane 6 and... this random dude who dropped in out of nowhere. :icon_smile_lachuh: Plus, he's green! We need more green ponies, dangit!

But seriously, I doubt they'd do that. I'd quicker bet on Hasbro making new ponies for the toyline than making that kind of jump, and let's face it, they haven't really been going wild with new pony ideas for G4. Either way, it'd definitely be a step up for the toyline, methinks.
