What are bologna curls? What is hair bleaching cream used for? You mean for yellowed playsets and such?
Bologna curls are like what the Rainbow Curl and Candy Cane Ponies have. But she did it to every pony she sold and would use product to hold them then deny that she used product.

Yes, the bleaching cream people are using for playsets. Except they're also using it on ponies. It also contains a form of peroxide, so I worry about its long-term effects.

I must have really been around forever if I'm the only one that remembers this! ;)

A good decade or so ago, there was a huge scandal involving an ebay seller who would put baby oil on her ponies in order for them to look shiny in her sales photos. She adamantly denied it, even when buyers posted photos of their ponies that had arrived in baggies with small pools of oil in the bottom corner of the baggies. It was really just pretty silly overall, but at the time that was the talk of the town!
Wow. Did the ponies develop problems?

Don't remember... just this year I saw a post in a FB group about a person who tried to use acne cream on brown spots on a MO Tux 'n Tails... just... guess the results...
Did it get bleached? I saw a Tux n Tails on Ebay, and the seller said the white patches were from acne cream.

It made me sad because he did look so nice.... That's gotta suck selling-wise.
And more because some brown spots to most of collectors are no big deal due to knowing of plastic degradation, but bleached spots?! NO THANKS!!

I remember the pony oil, like they were muscle builders or something.. It was such a weird thing to do to ponies all for a few bucks.

Exactly. I guess they didn't know. I mean, it does look kinda cool. Maybe customize a pony like that.

If it's the same pony as in the FB group I saw it, the girl said her intention was to sell him... Because it was an expensive pony and that cleaning those brown spots will make him more expensive (general idea).

True. It's sad that some of those ponies had bad plastic. There's so many I want to avoid because of it.
