I'm pretty stoked about this!

This lot is full of original production pieces from MLP merchandise--layered cel style work, original sketches, production acetate negatives, display concept, and final production prints!
I put in an offer on a whim thinking there was no way in the world it would be accepted... and it was!

PS: For those not on Facebook, I have several galleries of my collection published on my website: www.MustBeJewel.com ;)

It's always interesting seeing the conceptual / rough art behind finished pieces - really gives a peek into the design process. They've aged beautifully; must have been pretty well taken care of!

Fantastic collection, Jewel! Thanks for sharing. :starshine:

What a great score! I'm so glad you got it, because you won't just squirrel it away, you'll make sure the community gets to see it all and learn as much about it's history as you can

That is so cool! I love seeing stuff like this; it''s always neat to see the process behind the artwork.

Where did you even find this for sale???

I love production artwork so very much. That’s the animation nerd in me.

It was on Ebay! And me too!! :D

I really want to get around to documenting every piece in my collection, because some are truly one of a kind and I'd love for others to be able to see them. It's just a matter of finding time!

I absolutely love stuff like this! I actually got a hold of the original printing acetate negative for Shrinky Dinks about a month ago, too!

How wonderful! I love the MGR piece. I just adore all of the original art work from the 80's. I try to get into the new stuff, but it just does not do the same thing for me as the originals.

So very awesome! Congrats on your great find :)
