Hi guys! I wanted to finally start my own thread to post about my pony custom journey. Unfortunately I can’t post about my most recent pony project yet because she’s for a swap, but here’s what else I’ve got going on! (Please excuse the fact that my photo situation is kinda jank- I’m used to making art for myself and not really sharing it online, lol. It’s a work in progress!)
Here we go!
This is the first pony custom I made! It’s a G1 version of Starcatcher! I really love how she turned out, but unfortunately this is the best picture I have of her because I sold her— In the grand scheme of things, a good problem to have!!
Next up is Pumpkin, the spooky Jack-o-pony! I got some BBEs in a bait lot that I wasn’t sure what to do with… then I had this idea!
Last, here’s Grape Fizz! She’s sort of a work in progress… because she’s a magic motion pony but her mechanism broke and I failed miserably to repair it. So currently she’s suffering from a case of “giant butt hole disease” and also “no tail syndrome.” (To respect her privacy, I have not included a picture where you can see the aforementioned Giant Hole.) Also, I know her mane is Hella long, I just really love fidgeting with ponies who have super long hair so I thought it’d be fun! And i was right, I love her hair, lol!
Here’s a concept drawing for some ponies I’m working on next… Beanie and Baby! They’re pinto horses. I still have to find a teeny tiny base to use for Baby, but Beanie is already in progress!
And lastly, a sneaky peeky of the custom that will become the pony friend in my signature, the tapir! She actually… doesn’t have a real name yet. But I’m thinking something circus themed. If you have any ideas feel free to suggest them in the replies :]
